Anyone with this experience before?

I have a booking made with Agoda for a twin-sharing room (2 pax) that comes with a free cancellation policy.

1- I would like to change the booking to a family room (3 pax). What is Agoda's way of handling this?

(a) Cancel the 1st booking and made a new one, or

(b) Request for change to a family room, and how will the rate be?

2- If I cancel and re-book, how will Agoda refund the payment for the first booking (paid using credit card).

This is not about whether agoda is a trusted site, but its the only thread with Agoda in the title. I tried to get a clarification on the T&C for my Agoda Rewards point but the customer service specialist just give me the link to the instead.

Here is my situation. I have collected Agoda Rewards for my bookings in September 2013, but it is stated at my rewards page that the points expiring in just 3 months (Dec 31, 2013).

According to the T&C, clause 27
Rewards points earned in one calendar year remain valid until December 31 of the next calendar year thereafter.

Shouldn't the expiry date of my Reward Points be 31 December 2014 ? Thank you

Did you click the 'i am booking this for someone else' thingy? By the way, from my experience...the hotel never request for it, but you may bring the photocopy as back up. Remember to blank the CVC.

Yes, I will usually confirm with the hotel again through email. Just give your dates and booking ID with agoda.

If it is double charged, they will do the refund. Give them 1-2 days to reply your email

cancellation and book now pay nothing are two different things. for cancellation, you need to check the cancellation policy whether its free cancellation, or there is a cancellation fee involved.

The minimum redeemable point is 12,500 for $25.

I have redeemed them twice too and yeah, don't forget to do the review

hotel review submissions no longer earn 500 points.

rugi ler..i was expecting to get 2500 points, just enough to redeem..now i am short of bout 2000 points and it is going to expire end of this year..

since october 2013
