I have to concede it is a good idea having such a declaration in something that everyone has, in the case of Japan their national insurance card, which is what Otonashi signed. Do note just because you're a registered donor does not mean your body parts will be used. There are many factors, such as suitably, extent of damage to the organ(s), and being able to reach a compatible patient.

And please, please, talk with your family members before making a pledge. Its not a crime to want your next of kin to be "buried intact", but medical staff have more interesting things to do than argue about the validity of a organ donation pledge with a grieving family. We have enough problems deciding which type of burial the deceased intended.
