this anime is weird..but oh well..i like the haruhi-isn part of it..and sumhow it begining to feels like evangelion...and gundam..

Most confusing anime of this season.
Sure its from a respectable studio, but the story and the setting is all loose and patched together like a scrapbook.

Ep.1 - Sorry, too much wtf/bullshit here and life goes on, oh yeah, they're actually dead
Ep.2 - So the trap activated because the angel appeared to have entered the tunnel, and the team suddenly "bypass" her and arrived sooner to the underground base?  though unless if there's other tunnels which they didnt mention.

edit: Again, these high school student apparently knew too much. Constructing weapons! sure, they even got an AT-4 rocket in ep.1

does the HUGE SECRET WEAPON FACTORY under the school doesn't surprise/confuse you?? lulz

Jun Maeda is the writer for AIR, Kanon and Clannad. If not mistaken, each series represents a different season, and Angel Beats is autumn.

I guess there is something sad about their background stories, death as well as Otonashi's memory.

A bit like life no? We know that there are more losers than winners in this world, yet why do we continue on, working and hoping, queuing up for 4D numbers? Humans need a reason for life to keep waking up and getting through the day.

On a more serious note, my feeling is that all the members died in really tragic and tear-jerking ways. I think we saw a hint of what is to come with Yuri's past.

The OP is a GET for me. I'm a sucker for Lia's songs and piano's.

I still prefer the first op, i kinda like the piano playing in the op...

id be honest, i laugh until i was in tears. the replay and the kok music during it was the killer. totally rofled the same lousy gimmick on my chair in tears, which was a little sad thinking back about it. that said, if i watch it again, id prolly still fall for it XD
