Better wait and see at this juncture, so much uncertainty in the market and also our present political situation. The parent co. is dumping their shares, raising cash for ??? Their holding cost for YTLP-w is quite low, at this level they are still making ton of money. I will wait for the dust to settle to be safe.

2010, ytlpower signed a memorandum about the jordan project, but within this months, Jordan gorverment will sign an agreement to kick start the project. but this news yet to announce by local media. disposing share doesnt means bad news, seems to be re-org activities

More than 80% of the YTLP-WB is in the hand of YTL corp. If you were YTL corp. would you not sell down the ytlp warrant/shares to raise cash first since you can convert the warrant at RM1.21 even if you want to maintain the shareholding. Come 2015, are you so sure that you can replace the income lost from the present lucrative PPA.
Parent co. unloading is not a good sign unless parent co. is in need of cash for other project. But instead YTL corp. has been buying back its own shares lately, better think carefully whether YTLP offer good value presently. |

QUOTE(darkknight81 @ May 14 2012, 07:04 PM) something good? 2016 only will start the mining...let me add in something extra: "Estonian state-owned energy giant Eesti Energia wants to complete the Jordanian oil shale consuming power station procurement and find investors before the end of the year 2012, LETA/Postimees Online reports. After that, the share of Eesti Energia in the Jordanian project will decrease to around 10%, Eesti Energia finance director Margus Kaasik told the press on Monday. Eesti Energia plans a 900 MW power station in Jordan. Last year Eesti Energia sold a 11% stake in the Jordanian project and included two investors. Currently Eesti Energia has a two thirds stake in the project. 30% of the project belongs to Malaysian company YTL Power International Berhad and 5% to Near East Investment. "We read from papers that we take from home consumers and take to Jordan while actually it is vice versa: we reap the profits from the free market and invest it in Estonia," said Eesti Energia board chairman Sandor Liive." QUOTE(Dackson @ May 15 2012, 01:29 PM) www.google.comcompany operation wise should be perfectly fine. However, quarterly report should be out by next week and i suspect ytlp might trimmed their dividend further due tomassive investment. Latest news epf buying 1,500,000 shares on 11-may |
