Lifting weights without the knowledge of how to fight is pointless. Must also learn on how to fight. I've been doing both for more than 10 years. It helps, trust me. I've been in more than 10 occasions in which it has helped. You don't want a guy who can bench press 300lbs to start ground and pound on you..
