Just got my hands on S.H.Figuarts Monkey D. Luffy.
I thought i do a little review on the fella. Being an SHF collector, i have very high expectations after the Kamen Rider series. Quality plastic joints, die-cast feet, excellent paint jobs what was attracted me to SHF. So when they announced they were doing One Piece, i was ecstatic. Well, i picked mine up today at BTS and safe to say... it didn't meet my expectations.  The build quality feels cheap, ala Ultra-Act. Very rubbery like plastic that feels like you can break the ball-joints if you twist it in a very forceful way. NO die-cast feet, i take alot of points from the figure not having die-cast feet because i feel the plastic rubber doesn't do a good job making Luffy stand straight.  Paint job wise, its ok, not fantastic. Though you might need to choose carefully because i saw some box with really bad paint jobs on Luffy's face. Articulation, i think SHF excel in this department.  For his accessory count, its pretty decent, with 4 different facial expression, a strawhat wearing head, 2 pairs of extra hands and a tamashii stage 2 stand with his custom expression - DON ! (does anybody know what he's saying? i only know gomu gomu no - - - - )   Final Verdict. Its safe to say its strictly for One Piece fans this one. So much potential spoilt by some weird decision by Bandai. Could have recommended it if the price point was under RM 100, but for the price you pay, its a little bit disappointing. |

received my boa and farnky today.. but my boa's dress is slightly damaged/ have some fold lines on the top right half of her topbetween the collar bone and chest..
