I would like to know if I'm planning to get a couple asian movies like Bodyguards and Assassins and others where should I get it. How about amazon.com or uk is it ok...
*
Amazon not always got asian movies. Alternatively, you can check with Playasia or Yesasia but their are quite expensive. There is actually few other websites also sell Asian movies but their also no cheap and I don't know whether their are reliable or not. rclxub.gif

Or maybe you can compare their price with local shops.

So if I'm correct you never get asian movies from amazon....How's their BD quality....and I believe that yesasia offers free shipping whereas playasia don't so it would say that yesasia is cheaper  rclxub.gif

All apologies for so many questions  doh.gif

I do have US version Hong Kong movies. tongue.gif

The Kung Fu Hustle actually US version. I got it last year when there is promotion for some sony title at $9.99 each.

If You Are the One also US version. I got it from Yesasia for free from Buy 3 free 1 promotion.

Last time, Playasia also got free shipping but you need to purchase until certain amount (forget what amount already or maybe like maskedchan said with no amount restriction, I forget lo, cause my order was done long time ago. sweat.gif ). Once you purchased, their will give you $5 off physical coupon for your next purchase. This coupon can be use by anyone but got expired date. Now I not sure the rule still the same or not but Playasia got promotion now and do check the bargain section.

Yesasia also got free shipping but you still need to purchase until certain amount (forget what amount already tongue.gif ). Their also give $5 coupon but in your account which you can utilise in next purchase. But the discount coupon seem like without any expire date.

For packaging, I think is Yesasia.

For customer service, I only deal with Yesasia before but their usually take more than 1 day to replied your email. (Usually 2 days doh.gif )

Just now I check my Playasia account, when I made 2 order in Sept 2009, both without shipping charges. One is $31.90 (1 BD) another is $60.64 (2 BDs).

Bro, please read the last portion of the review on Virgin Territory. Utter!
"Suffice it to say, Virgin Territory is a miserably aimless picture with no redeeming values. Shallow characters, dimwitted dialogue, no structure, an absence of drama, and a mockery of morals serve only to repeatedly slap viewers in the face, the picture serving not as entertainment or enlightenment but instead an example of pointless filmmaking at its worst. Virgin Territory does earn a couple of halfhearted and unenthusiastic points for fair production values and decent set and wardrobe design, but otherwise, this miserable picture is best left unwatched and long forgotten. Starz/Anchor Bay's Blu-ray release does, however, sport a solid 1080p transfer and a decent lossy soundtrack, but no extras. Unfortunately, and despite a decent technical presentation, there's no reason to even give consideration to this one. Pass. "

That is why I said it is lousy movie. laugh.gif Some interesting extra in DVD also missing in this blu-ray version. That why I give warning to those who want to purchase. laugh.gif

Rumor: Remastered Gladiator Blu-ray Coming Up

The Digital Bits, quoting industry sources, is reporting that Paramount Home Entertainment, in cooperation with Universal Studios Home Entertainmment, will re-issue Gladiator on Blu-ray later this year, using a brand-new 1080p transfer that was just completed "a couple of months ago." Bill Hunt says this was done "after Paramount and Universal realized how bad the first one was, naturally."

Again according to the Bits' sources, the studio plans to schedule this Blu-ray rerelease for late summer or fall, to coincide with either the theatrical or (more probably) the home video release of Ridley Scott's Robin Hood, and possibly labeled as a 10th Anniversary Edition.

There is no information as to whether there will be an exchange program for the first edition of this title. There is no information either of a rerelease in other territories.

Tom Cruise has signed on for 'Mission Impossible IV

Paramount has confirmed an initial report from DeadlineHollywood.com that Tom Cruise is attached to star in Mission Impossible IV. He will also produce the film, which will bow over Memorial Day weekend in 2011, with J.J. Abrams, the director behind the last iteration of MI. The studio is currently out to directors and as previously announced, Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec has been hired to write the script. The duo previously worked with Abrams on his ABC drama Alias. Script details are being kept under wraps and no start date has yet been established though Cruise is planning on making this his next project.
