if you want to try, i guess ubuntu (with gnome) or Linux mint are both very good distro..
or any os with Gnome GUI, KDE is a bit complicated for new user(like me), but really awesome effect~
but worry not, both gnome and KDE desktop environment's effects smoke win 7 to no end, if you configure probably tat is~

by the way did i need to install the unbuntu or OSX 1st or the emulator can run it ??

gnome and KDE is the desktop environment, in linux distro u either get one of them or both and switch between. Without them, we got no desktop in linux.
get virtualbox ose will be ok~ open source one is same as close source
install virtualbox 1st, and do the setting. it will virtualize a computer for u, then just install ubuntu in it. is just like install in a computer without any os.

Done playing MW2, storyline kinda dissapointing...

so can i install the Virtual box then install linux and OSX ??

OSX ( snow leopard )can support win7 drive right excpet intel wifilink ?

u dont really need driver if u are going to install ubuntu...
using linux i never have to install driver, unless my hand itchy and ready to reformat...install proprietary driver in ubuntu usually will give you dependency hell..
just install VB and install ubuntu, dotn worry about the driver~
i dunno about osx..

using 9.04 is alright, if u intend to try out only.
if decide to use it for long, wait til this april to get LTS version.
some linux distro, like ubuntu, will have major version update every SIX months.
so u get 9.10 now, in three months time new version will come out. Long term support some more~
wait for 10.1 la~
