I have encountered Static Brown Screen while playing L4D2 today. Not too sure what's the problem but when I restarted it, it seems alright. Didn't continue playing though after that.

Tried to do a google search and it was mentioned that could be due to unclean game disc. It's true that the game disc was left out last night when my sis was playing with it. And I do hope that it's a disc problem rather than a hardware problem (coz mine got E74 error earlier this year and exchange my box 3 times because of several issues).

Just want to ask anyone if they have encounter the same thing before?

Brownish static screen? in game or cutscenes? Did the system crashed?

In game. It just hanged. And I have to restart the system.

then it might be the disc problem or lens....try clean both and see if it recurring

I have cleaned the disc. How to clean the lens?

lol me too....i have won the med kit and depeche mode shirt...i just have to kill 3000+more zombies to get the zombie hand shirt....

yeah... DA is fun, im almost on my 3rd game, min 3 round to complete most of the achievement. being good & ultra evil its kinda fun

well back to the topic, sometimes i think new games always had some little bug here & there that crashers the console. even DA i have tried staying in game pause when im out, when i come back ill just continue. ill stay atleast 15hours in game, sometime when i travel on map i see black screen, only location icons showing, the next moment i travel again it hangs the whole system.

even MW2 game had bug, the first time you enter the game u quickly skip all movie go in multiplayer then quit to dashboard, the next time i press on "play" it says the disc is not in tray but the play button had MW2 pic on it. so i had to take the disc out reinsert, then the game starts but hang after infinity wards logo. (an unusual load time for IW logo).

i play my game all installed, but i suppose it might be because i game for long hours?

Hmm, mine was halfway through a campaign.

Anyways, I will try it again tonight if the same problem exist. I'm only afraid that I will kena some red ring again.

Have tried L4D2 again last night, touch wood running ok. Will reopen this thread if the problem arise again.
