Hi there,

These are few question i gonna ask :

- how to fund paypal account other than buying funds from others ?

- i read that cashout paypal fund using debit card have a higher exchange rate, is it true? and which one do you guys recommend to cash out paypal funds? is it thru debit card or bank account?

-how many days exactly it will take to cash out to bank account? if i cashout today (sunday), when will i get the funds?

- my name on the paypal is not same with the bank name im going to cash out, is it possible to cash out anyway?

- and i've tried cash out paypal to my visa debit card, and it works well. but now the paypal account that im linked it the debit card im used to cash out funds is now limited. is it possible for me to use the same debit card to cash out on new paypal account ? or i need to apply for a new debit card? and is it possible to apply for 2 debit card in public bank?

thanks and appereciated all helps.!

For 1st question, you can fund it using your credit/debit card.

For last one, what do you mean by limited, your debit card or your paypal account have limitation?
If debit card have limitation, try to call your bank and ask them.
If your paypal account have limited by paypal, you can follow the instructions giving by paypal to remove the limitation but that take days. Just given the whatever information they want. For faster support better to call Paypal Singapore (the nearest) to ask for details as I did before. I manage to activate, verified and remove paypal limitation in less than 20 hours after I register few months back. It just take 2 calls, 1 call to my bank to get the paypal verification code and the last call to Paypal Singapore to verified my name, my address and remove the limitation. After that I can receive and transfer fund to others using paypal.

Limitation - only can receive fund but cannot sent fund or buy using paypal.

I already link my card and verified but still have the limitation. Solve when prove my address.

They also told me because I change my password using un-secure proxy when I use Celcom 3G. Same problem even use my office proxy. After I use old proxy (need to use password to access), then problem solve.

So both issue make my account have limitation.

Thanks for your explanation. Want to ask, why is it that when I checkout using Paypal, some online merchants rejected and canceled my order later? Usually within 48 hrs.
I successfully placed the orders, only to find out that they are being canceled later.

What causes this ya? hmm.gif

Some online Merchants are not able to accept Paypal linked Credit Cards of which is not registered in a certain country. An instance of this would be say for instance Newegg.com, an online retailer for electronic merchandise. Though they accept Paypal, they can only accept Paypal linked Credit Cards which is registered in the US. I'd assume your Credit Card's from here this great country of ours, you'd come that cancellation when dealing with some of the online retailers. As they are using Paypal, they cant see the actual details of your Credit Cards, but when they are processing their claim via Paypal, they would hit this roadblock and would have no choice but to also turn you down.

doh.gif Snappety, snap, snap!! (influenced by Joy in My Name Is Earl) Padan pun tak boleh..
Thank you..
So, is there any other options for Malaysians? I've read somewhere that if we can add a US mailing address to the card, then the transaction will work?

Here's an option. You can perhaps use these. What they are is online prepaid Visa Card, something like the Ambank NextGen Prepaid cards you can get in 7 Elevens here. How its funded is via Paypal. So what happens is you charge a Paypal amount (taken from your Malaysian credit card), to this online Prepaid card. In turn you will have a US registered Prepaid Credit Card which you can then link to your Paypal or direct pay to the retailers. It takes a little longer route, but you'll reach there in the end. Hope that helps. Need to get my sleep now ahaks smile.gif

Sure buddy, ive used it before, its pretty safe, since its being funded via your Paypal where your actual CC information is not disclosed. Unless somehow your Paypal information is exposed. But if your Paypal is exposed then youll have bigger worries. Your PB Visa Electron is not the same buddy, its still a Malaysian registered Credit Card which Paypal extracts its payment from correct ? Think of the WWWCard like a Touch and Go card. Paypal is used so your actual Credit Card info is never exposed to 3rd Parties. So here, you are actually reloading your US Prepaid Credit Card except instead of using cash, you are using Credit Card and again instead of using Credit Card, for safety reasons your funding your Online Prepaid Credit Card via Paypal. Hope that clears things up.

Actually simple. Your current setup:
PB Credit Card funds your Paypal. Paypal has USD100 from PB Credit Card. Yay!
But..youre stuck on some Online Retailers who cant take your USD Paypal because its funded from a Malaysian Credit Card, the Public Bank Visa Electron.
To remedy the situation,

Secondary Setup:
Either PB Credit Card fund WWWVisa Online US Visa Card (virtual CC) - A little more dangerous since you'd be exposing your Private CC details when registering.
Or the safer option, PB Credit Card fund the Paypal Account.
Paypal then funds the WWWVisa Online CC - safer since its only details from Paypal is being transmited. Safer option.
WWWVisa Online like eBay does not care where Paypal is funding it from, ie Malaysian Credit Card.
You now will have a US Based Online Credit Card that can be used to purchase from online retailers that does not accept credit cards registered outside of US.
So now you have a US registered

Wah.. A+ to you bro.. Understood clearly. Thanks! smile.gif
So, does this means that, everytime I want to pay a merchant, I just use WWWVisa Online card number?
Have you tried it before?

Yes i have though not often enough to really ensure that its foolproof. You see it takes only a maximum of USD270 so any higher amounts may not work for you.
The card would be like any other credit cards ie it would be susceptible to the normal perils if you were to purchase using the Malaysian Credit Card. Difference is, the authenticating bank is basically YOU. smile.gif
To make the online card safer you could perhaps use it to fund back your Paypal. Yes again it gets confusing so ill try the other method to explain.

Now you have the Online US Debit Card.
Scenario 1 : You can directly purchase items online from US merchants using the directly the exact details on that US Debit Card.
Pros : Awesomely easy.
Cons : Youre the authenticating bank since you'd have put the cash in the card ahead of the purchase. Youre also open to any risks that you'd normally face paying directly to an online merchant and disclosing your personal Credit Card Details, the very reason Paypal exists, to ensure the personal card and bank information is not exposed to the sellers.

Scenario 2 :
Using the Online US Debit Card as the funding Facility of Paypal
Pros : You'd be using Paypal to pay. Personal Online US Debit Card info is not released to sellers. Sellers will accept the card as its registered in the US technically.
Cons : A very roundabout way. Perhaps some extra charges are deducted because of this roundabout way. Its definitely safer but can perhaps be a little on the high side.

Hope that helps smile.gif

thanks for the excellent guide and explanation. never knew that before laugh.gif

anyway, do you have any reliable and trusted sites that providing the same service/system to get me UK prepaid credit card as im having difficulty purchasing some products from UK (when im buying and pay using my malaysia pbank visa electron, the order got rejected after few hours - im thinking im hving same problem as solsekuin44)

actly, i got my paypal acc limited many times already. and im tired of it. the best solution im using at that time is wait till 180 days (then i can withdraw the funds), so i add my personal pbank visa electron card and withdraw it successfully. after i transfer all my funds, i dump the paypal acc and create brand new paypal account, which verified using vcc.

now i have a new paypal acc which i verifed with vcc, and after quite some time, agains it got limited, FYI, im verified the paypal using VCC not using any personal visa debit card. so, im thinking a same method im using like above for withdrawing it after wait 180 days IF let say after i submit all the details, call etc, still my paypal wont be unlimit by paypal.

my question is, do it still possible to add the same personal pbank visa electron debit card on my 2nd limited paypal acc to withdraw the funds out? or i need to call public bank, cancel the card (said the card is stolen etc) and apply for a new card (new card no etc) then add up to 2nd limited paypal acc then withdraw it to my bank after 180days?

thanks for any helps and answer! rclxms.gif
