hi, a quick question. when i apply EPF withdrawal for purchasing my first house, will the money given to me first or EPF will issue a cheque or something to go to the developer directly?
Can someone also brief me on the process also?
Thanks a lot rolleyes.gif

To your bank account of course as long you provided your bank account number (any EPF panel bank)...don't ask for cheque because it takes more time..

Direct bank in only takes a week (for me)...make sure all the documents are prepared.

hope this helps

Get your latest epf statement from the epf office, if ur withdrawal is a join purchase of house with your wife, you need to bring along your original marriage cert and photocopy too, plus the CF of the house if there is any, remember to have the CF photocopy chop with certified true copy either by Commissioner For Oath or by the developer office.

They never state it in the requirement that u need to bring marriage cert but they sometime will require this additional "stupid" requirement, becos most of my friend and myself kena this when I apply for withdrawal to purchase my 1st house last time.

You need to photocopy your NRIC too, remember to bring also letter of offer from bank and make another photocopy too.

Actually, no need marriage cert.

You need the following:
1. Photocopy bankbook frontpage (for them to deposit money to you)
2. SPA CTC by lawyer or Ori Copy
3. Title (Strata/Land)
4. IC
5. Loan Offer CTC by Lawyer

Takes about 2 to 3 weeks to get the money as long as you provide above documents.

The marriage cert requirement is not part of the epf requirement, its more to their individual officer preference to have additional info for verification, when they want it,you have to comply otherwise they won't apporve your withdrawal. This happen to my friend few weeks back when they went for 1st time withdrawal.

if got atm card only (e.g. Bank Islam), u just need to go to any of the bank's branch, print a monthly statement (either from ATM or clerk counter, whichever applicable), and MUST GET IT CERTIFIED by the bank officer...

i faced this problem before... wink.gif ... basically they just want to see proof you own the bank account...in this case, our ATM card doesnt imply our actual account number...
