where to repair astro decoder around Johor/Pasir Gudang/Plentong area ? my decoder is Phillips, black decoder
Problem is, the decoder has no power..

and subscribe new acc.

registration is free if we dealing it through agent or direct to the their centre?

All spoil decorder u need to call astro & thereafter their installer will come & repair or change for you wth charges-lah..Can't rememeber how much but I think ~ RM80

Another way is request for the new Astro beyond..straight away get the new one without any repair charges

After using for 5 years (I think) - and convert from Beyond to Njoi.

Astro decoder decided to stop my Njoyment.
Red Light blinking. No, the decoder never kena lightning. Just suddenly when I wanna turn on, flashing red light.

So its either I repair - or I stick to my Android TV box.
Me just use Astro to watch local TV station and "Hello" channel.

Not gonna buy a new Astro box. Not cheap wei. RM 300+.

Yeap...I have revived a 11 yr old thread, and I am fully aware of it.
Mine is black decoder, originated from normal Astro Byond account, convert to Njoi.

I dunno . Astro is all about money. Especially when comes to Njoi customer, treat its customer like shit. Like an evil step father to a child.
But since it doesnt involve any billing should be easier.

Yup, I found one, called Live NetTV for Android.
Damn - it covers most of Astro's paid channel i.e BBC, HBO, etc.
But downside - Sometimes buffering. Just tolerate it.
the TV content is way better than Ass-tro, even same apple-to-apple comparison

Live NetTV is good but be careful though cause it got ehem-ehem channel, so lock it out from settings the channel. I may be wrong though cause I long time no use it liao

I think the model business now is that Astro owned everything. Last time the equipment is yours after contract finish. Now anything wrong with the equipment, the replacement is for free.

Since you still have old box, I wonder why Astro never replace yours.

It was me who bumped this thread yesterday.
Now I'm the one having problem. And worse still - I'm a Njoi customer - Anything faulty with the decoder - At own cost.

And my option is:
1) I dont repair it.
2) I send to astro decoder repairer; not gonna buy a new one.

I saw people reply I reply lo. Never check date of origin

I was wondering if is allowable or possible. Difference scenario. Last time my original Unifi TV STB faulty. So i bought a second one. But it can't be used as it is. Had to call TM to allow the used STB to operate.

Its possible. Because we are essentially repairing existing decoder and using back the same decoder (with same serial number) which was registered in Astro's database. Its Astro's cunning way of making money ;if the decoder spoil, they ask you arrange appointment with installer.
And installers can sometimes be cunning too.
