The sony A500 is officially sold by Sony Malaysia. They made a special launching promotion for the A500 + survival kit during the last PC fair at KLCC.

CZ filters are pretty damn good, but the problem is that it does not resist oil smudging and abuses as well as the newer Hoya HD filters. Oil smudge on the Hoya HD filters can easily be cleaned.

No dude. CZ = Carl Zeiss. This is a world famous optics manufacturer. They are responsible for the T* coating on the Sony filters that cuts glare substantially. That is why they were called CZ filters. The filters themselves are actually from Sony (not sure if Sony actually MANUFACTURES the filters or do an OEM).

You will be glad to know the Carl Zeiss also design a series of autofocus lenses for the Sony alpha series, which is not available for any other brands in the world. The rest of them get manual focus Carl Zeiss lenses, but we got the AF lenses! The SAL1680Z being one of the more famous Carl Zeiss lens that was designed specifically for Sony alpha APS-C cameras. Carl Zeiss lenses are famous for their crazy sharpness as well as superb micro-contrast that cannot be found on any other lenses. That is why a lot of top professional photographers lusts after Carl Zeiss optics. They are simply in a class of their own.
