Just finished a 'model shoot' today with my A550.

I noticed that the LCD Viewscreen is WAAAAAAY TOO VIVID. I took a shot of a red dress that was quite loud and I thought I overexposed the image, but looking at the Levels graphs indicated that I didn't.

Caused me to underexpose the pictures before I realized what was happening

I realize it could just be the viewscreen of my laptop and such, but I tried looking at the pics on 3 different displays already, and while they look loud. They definetly weren't as overexposed as the display showed it to be.

I'll upload some examples later.

since a550 body is around 2.5k...

expect a500 would be around 300 cheaper... while a450 MORE cheaper that a450 since it discard the fast focus what the live view function <-- this part I still dont understand.. doesnt it still has live view but cannot focus like a3xx a5xx?

so the rough price is.. around 800-1k? 

wingster: The F20 has HSS but only in WL mode (which means the off-camera flashes must have HSS, and by that the F20 would be on an A850/A900). HSS is not faster; in fact it uses more power and will have a slower flash cycle!

Also, the F20 is useless for portrait orientation bounce (to the ceiling) flash shots.

braindead_fr3ak: Find me a dealer that sells parallel import Sonys! There just are none. They have that good control over the market - pretty much any Sony you can buy in any shop is probably Malaysian. If Boeing says "aiya, Tarita Sonys are underwater set" they are lying.

You can only find parallel imports in online shops e.g. yghsin and Shashinki. That, and old "fell off the truck" Sony 50mm F1.4 lenses without serial number stickers.

Uzumaki NaruTo: Manual focus fisheyes are very easy to use on any camera because the depth of field is so deep.

farex: The A380, A450 and A500 are officially sold in Malaysia; however they are not brought in to all shops. If a dealer wants to order the A380/A450/A500 they can but they must take in a bigger quantity.

For the moment the A450 is not being introduced to the Malaysian market.

In Japan, the A850 was not brought in as the Japanese don't buy 'lower' models; they'd go all the way for the A900.

farex: The A380 is legitimately being sold in Sony Style outlets (KLCC, Times Square, The Curve).

Sony Style = owned by Sony
Sony Center = owned by dealer

Then, there are dealers (Tarita, Bintang Maju, Boeing) who carry original Sony stock.

Finally, there are third-party dealers who buy stock from local dealers, but do not talk to Sony directly (smaller shops e.g. Leos Trading, YL Camera).

Ultimately, the shops that have the A500 can order it through Sony. They just need to order a lot. You can verify that it is local, by looking on the box - there should be a white label with black bold text somewhere on the box, which identifies which dealer Sony originally sold the stock to. If you see some dealer you've never seen in Malaysia, and there's no Malaysian warranty card, then you have reason to believe it could be from a non-Malaysian dealer.

It is a very common thing for shops to claim another shop is selling fakes. "Huh how come so cheap? Sure underwater set!" Actually they can sell for cheap because they sell a lot of units and get 'kickbacks'. You sell XX amount of units, you get a free flash or other accessories.

Only way to find out is to go to the shop and inspect the goods!

I got a 8GB memory card MARK II

when I slot in.

turned on Live View. It says "This memory stick could not work normally.." bla bla..

so how ah? it still works. can take photo..
just the warning there pissed me off.

using A550 here.

its originally from my psp.xD then i upgraded it to 16GB.
now the 8GB slot in my A550.
while the 4GB in my cyber shot.

so.. any help or how to solve my prob? T^T
