achew, remember my desktop picture? remember the left side corner? i print from the sony printer during the workshop, since they let us use if, FOC... tongue.gif and the color maintain better then the chemical ones.

Kevinwcw: just a rumor. but i am pretty sure a mirror-less one is coming out, aiming for worldcup, since sony is now one of the main sponsor. it can do 10fps and FULL HDvideo ^^. (or worst to worst, it could be just another semi pro... @.@ stupid rumor)

650 is a bad rumor, but A750 is comfirmed rumor as the US sony website accidentally leak it.

it nice, and quick, and clean. no mess like using big printer, need align, etc. and summore, bubblejet is afraid of water, and aircond room spoils it. so this is film+heat type, so it's good biggrin.gif

guys,

got some noob question here...wat is the diff between exposure and brightness panel in Photoshop?
*
depending which photoshop version u use,... coz the brightness in the photoshop are re-code.

the old brightness will POP the photo to flare white.

the new (CS4 as i never tested CS3) brightness will maintain the detail of the photo without popping the photo. (there is a tickbox to enable 'legacy' something to turn the brightness control to the old brightness control, which will pop the photo.

exposure, (btw, the new brightness coding is base on this) is when u adjust brightness+saturation at the same time, that is how it maintain bright and still in color.

So sad. I went to the Sony Centre here in Sibu to ask about the alpha 550 promotion. Apparently, the Sony Time 2010 promotion that starts on 8th Jan 2010 hasn't reach Sibu yet!!! The guy said he hasn't heard of any new promotions.  rclxub.gif
*
the shipment is on the way,... they have diff set of serial number, they may Not sell u the current available set(s/n) in promo price, coz they unable to claim the rebate from sony msia. so u have to wait, else drop by kuching then, or ask some friend from kuching to help u buy, if u dont mind, i can give u a number of a good friend of mine... (he is aipo drybox distributer for sarawak/sabah/brunei region) he might can help u deal, provided u treat him mcD hehe.

miri here already started, but the stock have not reach. u can place order first. smile.gif or u can always order from sony.com.my, the sony centre in sibu will send u the product when it reach them.

haha..u sounds like if they pay u peanut..and u gonna give them craps(to match the value of what they r paying)  tongue.gif

@destfull
u can always start from ur own friends??maybe just tag alone the official photographer..and observe how they do their stuff(they probably wont teach u much since they don know u at the first place).....maybe my age group is in the period where everyone starts to get married..i started from twice offering myself as a 2nd or 3rd photographer during my friends wedding..and then friends started to ask for my help to shoot for them(free again)..and people started to give u "angpao"..to people engage u officially as their main photographer...

as a starting point, each time u helping ur frens..be it free or paid..u not only get to learn from the main photographer(if there is any)..and also u get to know alot of those "sisters/brothers" who might be getting married soon either..so chances for u to learn/practice would just keep flowing in(provided u never screw up anything)..
p/s: oh ya..suddenly remind me of something ...for those who frequently shoot wedding here...did u sign any form of "contract" with ur customers?stating whats included in ur package..and the rights of the photo belongs to which party...i dunno how it works in msia but in singapore..the moment u accept payment from the couples..be it 1dollar or 10grand..the rights automatically belong to the couples..and u shdnt publish their stuff unless there was an agreement made....i know not much people care about the rights thingy..but just wanted to know how things supposed to go..

if u study law.

they pay, they ownership.
you make, u author-ship, u can even claim loyalty claims when they use the photo
copyright, still urs, unless sign a release form to release to them.

other way around.
model, u pay them, they, authorship, they claim loyalty
you, shoot, u pay them, u ownership of the photos
copyright, again, need a release form from them.

*edit: add new one
model, get paid, authorship, can make loyalty claims.
u, photographer, get paid too, to shoot/make, just a tool.
COMPANY, pays everyone, ownership, goyang kaki.
copyright, still need release form from model, - photographer no need.

somehow the copy right law in singapore isnt following msia..
this is what i read from http://www.ipos.gov.sg/leftNav/cop/Ownership+and+Rights.htm
*
wasnt that the same as what i said? lol....

if cooperate is involve, they pay, the own everything. but if the company never get photo release or agreement from the model involve, they can sue for loyalty claims. even u let them shoot ur bando by other photographer, ur danbo can make claim if he never sign anything (danbo can sign??? lol) that is the very straight forward fact and the way the law works. even u shoot the patung of religions at temple, the temple can make claim for the patung loyalty claims, if u use the picture for earning money, the patung has right to a small %. but if u never use the picture for earning money, then they cant sue u for anything. nothing.

BUT, cases like, if u use their picture to improve ur business... hekhekhek, they can claim. @.@ (same apply for wedding business)
but look at one more case, where u HIRED model... that is diff, with photo release, u can use the photo to improve ur business, and the model cant claim because of the photo release. (that why the billboard model are usually hired, not from ur works, even the album for showing in the studio, are suppose to be model, never customer)

so, as for wedding
the couple are ownership, they pay u, and they themselves are model, they claim loyalty fee from themselves.

u are the authorship, u can use their photo, all u have to do, send a note. no need agreement. just a note.
but in some cases, (when u refer the cooperate case, u are just a TOOL) so tool has NO watsoever power or ownership or copyright. even in wedding photography. then, i think, an agreement is required. LOL

this is not msia law, and btw, msia i dont even think they have law to protect case like this,... this is law from UK.
