albnok, ahew, Kul | Mo0: there are blood and petrol all over the place...3 of the cars engine are badly damage...but the blood, i believe is from the girl who got a fracture skull...

QUOTE(finejava @ Jan 12 2010, 12:23 PM)
albok: if u see pic 2#...i believe her head had a direct hit with the car mirror...

try to imagine...the car mirror itself is already HARD...a hit like in 2#...can't imagine...

and if you observe 1#...there is another wira that hits the right-side of the satria gti...

that poor girl had an impact on the side and front...
*
dude are you sure it's a fractured skull? or just a laceration wound on the scalp?
cause mostly after a fractured skull (either closed fracture or open-got wound etc) the person will surely lost his/her conciousness..

just got out from OT, today got 2 cases of fractured femur (the 1 big bone in the thigh).. both elderly..
i dont think car mirror can cause fracture to the skull, cause believe me.. the skull is daym hard..
if really she's having a fractured skull then we all shouldn;t be looking to visit her, but should be praying for her instead..
lets just hope that she just have a laceration wound to the scalp.. this is what malaysian (malay, chinese, indian, etc) people always calls as
'pecah kepala' but its not really pecah. just luka terbuka di kulit kepala tu.. usually can just stitch it and can go home if there's no sign of
internal trauma..

QUOTE(lencent @ Jan 12 2010, 05:58 PM)
just read some discussion from flickr. they say that sony 50mm f1.8 has less ghosting problem than minolta 50mm f1.7 and that sony 50mm is designed for DSLR which will definitely perform better than Minolta 50mm which came out in 1985.
anyway, the minolta 50mm selling in US is like USD50 only =.= so damn cheap...
*
because it's FF lens?

p/s: oh ya..suddenly remind me of something ...for those who frequently shoot wedding here...did u sign any form of "contract" with ur customers?stating whats included in ur package..and the rights of the photo belongs to which party...i dunno how it works in msia but in singapore..the moment u accept payment from the couples..be it 1dollar or 10grand..the rights automatically belong to the couples..and u shdnt publish their stuff unless there was an agreement made....i know not much people care about the rights thingy..but just wanted to know how things supposed to go..
*
havent encounter this so far..
but maybe we can start making this a usual thing..
this will make sure that they pay for the pics.. and have 'some sort' of belonging to the pics taken..
unless the photogs want to use it then should have agreement..
this is sumthing good for the customer, but maybe bad for the photogs.. eh..

where to buy it? any shop got huh?
*
u can get it at camera shops. i get the 55mm +10 close up for RM69 at a camera shop here. comes with small pouch and it's own cleaning cloth..
use it with my kitlens and the results is awesome..
also available in 49mm, 58mm, 62 mm, 67mm, etc etc
if u can get lucky then might find cheap2 one.. but usually cheap2 have disadvantage ie no carrying pouch etc (the pouch is very2 useful because u wont be attaching the filter all the time eh?)

QUOTE(achew @ Jan 14 2010, 06:15 PM)
i dont usually do it "yet"..just verbal agreement only..anyway i dont have alot assignments to start with..LOL..maybe average once in a month only =.=
but from those i encounter b4..they usually would have somthing...be it receipt or u wanna call it contract..it'd state clearly that how much he is charging...how many pic he going to edit..how many pics he would print out..how long it takes..and lastly..the rights of the photo...

i asked them y bother about the rights(it seems like most couples dont care either)..they told me in singapore..the moment u get ur payment..u've "sold" the rights to the couples already..so if u use it on ur portfolio or website..by right ur customer could give u troubles if they want to...and there r cases where the poor photographers met lousy customers..so they just want to stay away from that..
*
yah. maybe i can start doing this.. to protect me.. and my works eh?
and also might be usefull in the future.. who knows..

quite expensive the cz CPL filter
*
invest some money in octopus CPL filter.. around RM60-100 depending on thread size..
i got mine for RM60 (for 62mm thread)
but its not that easy to use..
u just cant simply shoot and hope to get the effect..
u need to be in a way that the sunlight array is in front of u.. to get the special 'non-flaring' effects..
tilt the direction upwards 10degree more and the effects is a bit different..
so try it..

Like said, these are from Jerry Ghionis. Most of the top wedding photographers practice that way. However you can give them JPEG provided you supply them a Wedding Album as part of the paid package. Giving Original JPEG just like that with minimal small fee of wedding photography service, doesn't sound right. Even worst, some photographer gave RAW files.

See how Bridal Studio charge for their service and you'll know.
*
yes.. i dont simply give my client the original JPEG files..
i sell it to them..
because this is how i keep them with me..
everytime they want another copy of their pics, whether in large size or add watermark or anything..

"there is NOT going to be an Exmor R in an APS-C sensor. Backlit means the circuits that cover the sensor area are now behind it. For a smaller sensor the circuits cover maybe 50% but on a larger APS-C sensor it covers perhaps 5%. As an Alpha Product Manager told me, there is very little benefit to backlit sensors with APS-C or FF as it costs too much to change and it doesn't offer as much gain as a small sensor will get."

Anybody knows where I can get a good deal for the Tamron 1750 f2.8 for my a550?

wah so quick u're bored with the range already?
that's the best walkaround lens u can get in hands maaa..
u have to make use of it.. 1 week, 1 months will make u understand that the biggest aperture (smallest 'F') isnt the best option all the time..
everyone is heading for a constant aperture nowadays..

Ahhh... too late..... it's the minolta AF 70-210 F4!!!  drool.gif  drool.gif
Right, let me understand this properly. I have the SAL18250 f3.6-6.3. It would have been better if I got the Tamron 1750 f2.8 + minolta AF 40-210 F4.

As I understand it, my lens would be equivalent to those two lenses except that my best "f" would be 3.6 instead of the better f2.8 for the tamron. Are there any other advantages of having those two lenses as compared to the SAL?

What if I got myself a 50mm f1.8? Would it be adequate if I have SAL18250 + 50mm f1.8?  hmm.gif (keeping in mind my main objective is to take pictures of my baby. The SAL18250 can do that but I want bigger aperture!!!  cool2.gif) Other types of photo taking is secondary at the moment. Next time maybe buy macro lens... haha.... sweat.gif
*
y dont u tell us earlier?
well, 50mm should serve u well.. and if u can afford more then 85mm is a comfortable range.. or even go for 135mm (but for babies i dont think so)
prime lens FTW! and if ur baby is in the age where they keep running and hopping and jumping and falling then this range is quite adequate..
