and one more thing, i cant set flash to manual mode except my cam is at Manual mode... (to control the flash power). i only have 1 dial so it is hard to change aperture and shutter..

any tricks for quick change? usually I set manual dial to control aperture, so when i want to set shutter i quick change to shutter mode and adjust.. and back to manual for aperture adjustment.

anymore better tricks?

IeR , albnok : thanks for the reply, so thats mean fisheye with MF is no problem.. read sony one 16mm is not wide enough for apsc..

will include the fish in my buying list.. tq..
i got one more question here..

im new to F58 flash.. so more to learn.. so if the flash  is set to TTL mode.. is the flash will be fired at full power no matter the lighting? cant set manually?

and one more thing, i cant set flash to manual mode except my cam is at Manual mode... (to control the flash power). i only have 1 dial so it is hard to change aperture and shutter..

F58.
1. TTL means Through The Lens, mean the in body eV metering still works and it relies on it. so it will Not Fire at full power. it will fire a light(little) flash for TTL detection before it fires the 2nd power to match the metering.
*if it fires at full power, check the contact on the camera flash hotshoe. it might be improper contact, thus ur F58 only recieve fire command, then it fires at full.
2. u can set to manual mode even in other creative dail mode (A, S, P mode). on the F58, press Fn till the menu comes up. press left 4 time till u reach C04, set to PASM, (u will see a little c pop up beside the hss word), now u can use manual at all mode, it is overwrited.
3. quick change, why do u need to change aperture and shutter speed at same time? pressing and hold the [+/-] buttom and turn the dail will change the other viceversa of aperture/shutterspeed depending what u set in the menu for the dail to run.

bro, u never read the manual ?
both setting for F58 and how to adjust Aperture in M mode is stated in the manual.
If u lazy to read the hard copy.. U can download a soft copy, use the search function in the Acrobat Reader. Go to the topic u wan to know.

yah, not all alpha model got 2 dials.. unlike a700/a850(confirm me on this?)/a900
u set the dial for Aperture, so cant change the Shutter?
actually u CAN change the shutter also.. using the SAME DIAL button..

all u have to do is HOLD the AV button and use the dial..
this will change ur SHUTTER SPEED...
and if u're already familiar..
later u can set the dial for Shutter, and anytime u want to change the Aperture just HOLD THE AV button and dial it..

thumbup.gif we learn sumthing today eh?

guys, no need to be so hostile to each other, we are from the same family~ hkhk is just trying to point out, coz this question has been ask over and over more them 20 times till this v35... so it's a little annoying when ppl dont read the manual before asking. unlike some of us, willing to repeat what we answer over and over again smile.gif

nashakir, u really have to play with the camera intensely for a month to get use to the way it works, it works very diff from canon or nikon. sony has it's on pattern to use, even A300/330 work so diff with A550 smile.gif play with it more

and freddy manson, like hkhk, i recommend u to read the manual, or test it out urself. i dont expect myself to use google to search for the answer that u can do it urself tongue.gif and congrats on ur purchase. u buy 2 summore? is it cheap? is the TTL accurate in WL mode? i am soooo poison by Metz flash, but they are freaking expensive...

Which sentence blame u? It's all in your mind, bro.

DSLRA300 manual page 63, no2 explain on the Manual setting. It's not too hard to understand.
HVLF58AM manual page 43-first 2 sentences, page 45 last sentence and then page 74-76, particular on C04.

the manual is written to simple and i cant really get it after reading it twice (enuff la twice, later2 baru read again)
i'm in the process of trying but the problem is i cant get them to work together..
i.e if i use the MZ45 on the body (mounted) then it'll work..
but when i put the MZ45 and F42/36 they didnt fire.. even if i mounted F42.. (maybe mau F58? aiyaaa)

i got 2 unit for the price of 1 F42 brows.gif

High-speed Transcend Ultimate Class 10 SDHC Cards
user posted image
So you’ve probably gotten your Christmas present, perhaps your long-awaited gadget that can capture Full HD videos, or that new camera that allows you to snap pictures with a megapixel count so high, you can blow the picture up to a big banner; what’s the use without a memory card that can’t let you fully utilize your powerful gadget? Transcend recently just announced its Ultimate Class 10 SDHC cards with the ability to transfer at a speed of up to 20MB/s and with a large storage capacity of up to 16GB.

Compared with Class 6 SD cards that only guarantee write speeds starting from 6MB/s, the new Class10 SDHC can write up to a whooping 16MB/s and read up to 20MB/s. This allows for smooth and lag-free usage, especially when recording Full HD videos at 60fps. Highly recommended for entry to mid-level digital camera or camcorder users, the new range of SDHC cards are available ranging from 4GB to 16GB. The 16GB version can store more than 6000 images at 5-megapixels, or up to 240 minutes of HD video. Why carry around so many memory cards and risk loosing them, when all you need for your holiday is just one?
