My gf had this male rabbit for many years .. Unknown breed as a present from her student.
Lately she felt the rabbit is a bit down and an oportunity arise where she got another male rabbit for free. This rabbit is about 20% bigger in term of size from her original rabbit.
The moment she placed both of them together, the new rabbit will just try to hump on the poor smaller one... anytime..anywhere.. Lol!
Anyway to prevent this from happening? The last thing she want is to return the bigger rabbit back ...

No toilet for rabbit? Are they kidding? They are lots of rabbit/ferret/chincilla/Guinea Pig toilets sold in all Pet Lover Center branches, Chubby Pets Garden and Pet shack to name a few. I still can't believe the crappy MV petshop would say that thing.. rclxub.gif

Here is rabbit toilets from Chubby Pets Garden : http://www.chubbypetsgarden.com/webshaper/...at.asp?catID=25
and here from Pet Shack : http://www.petshack.com.my/webshaper/store...t.asp?catID=121

See? There are lots of them.

Just curious, if I were to place two rabbit into the same cage. Can I just buy 1 rabbit toilets and both of them will share them?
I think the answer is not likely but just wish someone have experience to really tell me the actual answer laugh.gif

I need help ….
Recently as per my earlier post, my gf brought back another male rabbit to accommodate her old male rabbit.
As the new rabbit, which is 20% bigger in size attempt to regain his territory, it keep humping the elder rabbit.
Per forumers feedback, this is a normal behavior. We let both of them staying in the same cage hoping they could blend in and stay together.

It has been 3 weeks they were staying together in the same cage. Occasionally, I do see the bigger rabbit chase, hump or light bite on the older rabbit..
I just treated that as a sign of territory marking behavior, or playing together
Today, to my surprise, I noticed the elder rabbit’s testicle was badly bitten.. it definitely the act of the new rabbit.
We have decided to put the new rabbit into a smaller separate cage to isolate them until we find a solution …
Anyone care to shed some light on how we could resolve this problem?

We know, a visit to vet is a must, but what is next?

My earlier post has indicated I am encounter problem trying to let both of my rabbit socialize together.
Since both of them are male, mixing them together trigger territory problem.
The new rabbit is biting the old rabbit so bad he injured his testicles. rclxub.gif
Because of this, we have no choice but to separate them, we put the old rabbit into a bigger case while the new rabbit into the old smaller cage. doh.gif

Now, the new rabbit is showing aggressive attitude.
Whenever we approach him, he will bite us. cry.gif
Whenever we try to put food into his cage, he will bite us.
I was bitten few days ago till bleeding.
I used to be able to carry him out and bath him, now we just dare not do that anymore.

We are thinking of giving this rabbit away for adoption.
Now, let’s make this clear, we knew this rabbit has aggressive syndrome thus we are hoping someone have experience to adopt him.
We will still keep him, but, we no longer able to give him the freedom to roam around our house and worry he might attack us.
Throwing him away is never our plan as we still hope we can keep him but we just could not re-adjust back his attitude.

If anyone is interested, do pm me.
Or, if you have suggestion in how i could make him gain trust back, do let me know.
Here is the rabbit picture

hi decentdevil,

try beat his head or slap the face hard.let him know u dont tolerate this aggressive attitude.if he continue, make your punishment more harsh.until he admit lose.how u know ,when they lie on the ground completely.

if i were u,i will beat his mouth so hard that he scream.dont care.im master, how can let small animal on top of human.some more bite my own pet (old rabbit) testicle...i will already punish harsh..i know u did by giving him small cage...

try my methods few times... see it works or not....let us know yea...
Hi Vincent, it won't work rclxub.gif
I tried slap him, chuck him and force him stayed on the ground.
We used water spray to srpay him till whole body wet still same aggresive.
I do not blame him for showing aggresive in terriitory but biting is something I do not tolerate at all.
Hmm.. really running out of idea.. will expand my help to other rabbit forum for help soon ... icon_question.gif

neuter is not an option as the older rabbit is too old and neutering him will endanger his life.
Yes, we have to admit, we never read enough before introducing another rabbit into the cage.
All we have initially is to give the other male another companion.
Obviously, the situation turn back and we are trying very hard to calm both of them down.
knowing the aggresion, thats the reason we seperated both of them now.
As punishing him, i just use a chopstick to push him to the corner making sure he won;t react.
Spraying with water just hope that will stop them but it just ain;t work. We dried them immediately after each spray.
As for chocking, can't blame me, is just human reaction when we got bitten, we are either reacted by hitting, or chocking..
now, I am giving him the priority.the new rabbit will first receive the food, water, and whenever we move him out to an isolated play pen, he wil lbe the first to go out.
One of the reason I post here is to seek help, we are still hoping to keep the new rabbit ..thats the reason why we ask for help ..giving it away is the last thing we want to do since we took him back from previous owner.
