QUOTE(toda6866 @ Jan 7 2010, 01:56 PM) hi, Yes, it is very organic if you use rabbit poo directly to grow your vege. Rabbit have very high nitrogen, so anything is lefty is good to use as fertiliser for it. Grow flower, a bit can la, if not u see lots of healthy leaf, very little flower. Use grow lettuce, chow sam, siao pack choy, you get fantastic result. Some more you can compost it with your bedding if you have lots of rabbits poo n bedding to clear everyday, compost is another super stuff for organic. anyone here grows organic vegetables for rabbits in your own garden? planted sweet potatoes for its leaves, rabbit loves them but it grows so slow even after i fertilize it with rabbit poo...(usually all other plants n flowers grow nicer n bloom more after i pour rabbit poo on them) |

QUOTE(toda6866 @ Jan 12 2010, 09:49 AM) HAY of course! I want to be your rabbit.... i give my rabbit lots n lots of green n fresh hay supply - both Timothy n Alfafa but she love alfafa abit more anyway she still like variety so everyday i watch her eat like a 5 course meal for princess 1. appetizer - fresh baby carrots 2. entree - timothy hay 3. main - alfafa hay 4. side - pellets 5. dessert - slice of apple (not always) she likes her cage very much, nvr jumps out even if i open the cage door wide unless i carry the cage to garden - there she will jump out n have some fresh grass but funny thing is, she will still go back to cage n use the litter tray very clean! hahaha |

QUOTE(Vigilant @ Jan 14 2010, 06:32 PM) You look for fresh green hay, they will love it, maybe you can try some alfalfa mix with some timothy for the start. Hay is indeed very good for your rabbit, if your rabbit NEVER eaten hay before from where he born, he may not know what is that sometime. |

QUOTE(rockmaniac85 @ Jan 16 2010, 08:08 PM) Quite agree on this, used to only give hay to my pet rabbits when my pellets smells funny and such.. Give them as much as they want for hay, that is something you want to see your bunny doing, eating lots of hay (timothy + alfalfa). Is a sign of your bunny is growing and in healthy condition, cause they get hungry! the funny thing about only feeding hay is that.. they jus eat toooooo much hay.. imagine, my kits were only like 3 months old, both of em.. bought 1 kg of hay, and my kits finished all of em in 2 weeks then my girlfriends ask me to buy more hay, at 1st she asked for 4kg, perhaps can last for 2 months rite? but instead, i realised buying 6kg is cheaper, hence i got 6kg of alfalfa hay!! for 2 small rabbits who are almost 4months old.. guess how long they took to finish 6 kg of alfalfa hay?? i got the hay on 7th Dec, they finished all 6kg on 28th Dec!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! are my rabbits overeating? but almost everyone told me to figuratively "bury my rabbits with lots and lots of hay", and i do just that lolz... I visited a friend who own few bunny and few guinea pig, they feed lots of lots of hay, timothy hay, when i see it I said :"Great! Eat more! Good for you fellow!" Never see they rabbit have hair ball issue, never see they guinea pig got any teeth problem. |

QUOTE(yueyi5730 @ Jan 21 2010, 01:02 AM) Added on January 21, 2010, 1:05 amJust bought rabbit supply from PLC today.pellet, hay and packet of treats..wanna thanks chincilla for providing quality goods to petshop.my rabbit loving the timothy hay!!smells really good who wont be attracted...haha Added on January 21, 2010, 10:28 pm QUOTE(KahVII @ Jan 21 2010, 03:50 PM) Ahh. Coz Keiko is only like 5½ months now so I'm serving her only alfafa now. Will move to Timothy starting next month maybe or March You can add move variety, like alfalfa cube, alfalfa treat tube and anything that is alfalfa that give your bunny more choises. Put in 10% of timothy in will be a great value. You can make tunnel you self too, how ever it wont last very long la, cause it is make from fresh hay, and they will eat it. To add on, chinchilla only give birth to 1-2 babies 1 time, and take about 4 months for the pregnancy, usually 1 baby. Chinchilla can only produce 1 time per year or 2 max, but rabbit produce faster in shorter time and have more babies.

QUOTE(Juztiny @ Mar 5 2010, 10:44 PM) Today 2 of my rabbits died, both having same symptom, wet nose. This happening too fast...yesterday spotted one and today spotted another one, then both died in the evening. Took to the vet, but still died. I hope the rest that share the same cage could be safe. I removed the rest of the bunnies into another cage, and then wash the cage thoroughly with vinegar, hopefully this will disinfect the virus. You need to sun the cage, not dry it in house. Sorry to hear your lose. |

QUOTE(jenli_84 @ Mar 14 2010, 01:33 AM) It is not enough, your rabbit need pellet that included other vitamin n mineral to let them stay healthy and strong. You can also LIVE ON just by eating carrot for years, but not enough, and wont live many many years. |
