Hi refering to above picture (not mine)

My baby rabbits, all of them got infected by this kind of disease, it looks exactly like that. What is this? Does this can be healed by itself? Or do I need to buy certain meds or get to the vet promptly? Thanks in advance.
*
i think your rabbits have got mange, previously my rabbit got these symptoms too..
dont think they heal on their own
i took my rabbit to the vet,
the vet gave him an injection on the first visit
needs 2 injections for full recovery
p.s. u need to disinfect their cages n stuff to stop it from spreadin

So there is no other solution? Vet is expensive, I thought I can get somekind of meds for them and can be taken orally.

I dont know. They just got the disease suddenly, start of with one rabbit, then the others. My rabbits do eat flowers.

Eventually when rabbit get older, it will grow longer.

mine is a house rabbit only goes out to grooming so rarely would get this sorta thing.

letting your rabbit run around on your yards grass would also invite ticks.

if that is your plan..u still need to go to the vet to get the meds?
where else u can find meds for your rabbits?
the fastest and the easiest way would be the vet im afraid..
2 visits to the vet cost me around 50 bucks or lesser..i cant really rmb..
i hope you had separated those which are infested from those which are not
it tends to spread..=)

if you took care of your rabbits and not simply breed poor quality rabbits like all i'm speechless...
mange is a serious skin disease...by the look of it ppl can even say it's geli to touch it...and you are not responsible enough to take it for treatment..it's probably spread from it's parents itself...u just pray it dont go to u then u only know la want to pay for doctor fee or not...

Hmmm, I don't know which rabbit breed has it's 'ears come down'. Maybe something like this? Link to pictures and info on 'Rabbit with ear come down' aka Lop-earred rabbits

I'm not sure if rabbits are born forgetful, but I do know of some people that are born stupid. Anyways, you really shouldn't be beating the sh!t out of your rabbit. And definitely not until the scream. Maybe you should read up a little on how to discipline your rabbit. May I also suggest further reading for your personal growth and improvement: Be a better person today!

I need help ….
Recently as per my earlier post, my gf brought back another male rabbit to accommodate her old male rabbit.
As the new rabbit, which is 20% bigger in size attempt to regain his territory, it keep humping the elder rabbit.
Per forumers feedback, this is a normal behavior. We let both of them staying in the same cage hoping they could blend in and stay together.

It has been 3 weeks they were staying together in the same cage. Occasionally, I do see the bigger rabbit chase, hump or light bite on the older rabbit..
I just treated that as a sign of territory marking behavior, or playing together
Today, to my surprise, I noticed the elder rabbit’s testicle was badly bitten.. it definitely the act of the new rabbit.
We have decided to put the new rabbit into a smaller separate cage to isolate them until we find a solution …
Anyone care to shed some light on how we could resolve this problem?

We know, a visit to vet is a must, but what is next?

decentdevil, i watch astro csi and your old rabbit is in serious danger.
the show is showcase how come brown bear keep die mysterous with their testicle bitten off only.found out black bear did it.it is because of territory reason.for female bear, the black bear will eat them until bone left.it is the natural of animal survival.

to all who feedback me, after reading the hyperlink about discpline rabbit..i decide rabbit cant be tame or train.so far,i only beat her once that scream.the rest is like making sounds (not scream).more like she say stop, dont beat me anymore...haha...anyway, i dont enjoy beat her.
now i change strategy.the reason she can escape at garden because certain portion of the eart is uneven.she use that to drill down from play pan.wat i do is put ceramic food or water to block the uneven earth.

i start make her run round n round ...as if im predator....it is so fun to see her run for her life..i use broom to chase her.. until certain rounds...she will give up and sit down quietly and without moving her body..that time i know she is tired and finish her exercise...then i put her in the cage... i believe by making her run every day, will improve her lifespan...rather than remain in cage....

she got better life compare my neighbour dog.that dog always been chain and never let roam freely. no exercise at all.just sit ,eat, shit and sleep...looping....

oh yea...got any rabbit hotel? i need to plan earlier if i go vacation one day....any recommendation?

Took em to vet, its not mange... that was just an assumption. But it's still somekind of infection and required the doctor to give injections. Their parents dont have this, only 2 (baby bunnies) out of 6 of total of my rabbits have this.

I don't intentionally breed them, I had them caged/roam separately for each gender. But sometimes carelessness just happen smile.gif

When I said vet is expensive, I'm refering to the vets nearby, they are generally expensive, there are others (vet) that is more keen on healing animals than racking up profits, but most are far away. Other than rabbits I have cats too, so meeting a vet isn't really a rare ocassion whistling.gif

my pet rabbit was having the same problem too. it started when i let him out in the yard a couple of times during a trip back to hometown.
it cost me 35 bucks for the 1st shot. another 25 bucks every shot for the next 3 visit. it was costly but nothing beat the satisfaction
of watching your lovely rabbit recover from those infection.
