I have problem with my display. I on my Xbox 360, no display but got sound. Im using VGA cable to my lcd monitor. I already use different lcd, no luck. i make display reset, still no luck.

Its like the monitor didnt detect the xbox. no RROD..

have you try using different cable?

how about to TV? any tv also can, as long as got component input la.. 30 year ago tv maybe dun have

it's composite.
component is green,blue,red which is most tv dont have it.

well if you are using vga cable now, you should try using other cables like HDMI/Composite/Component, if those shows image that means there is this chipset in the xbox that detects VGA output is dead, eventually those display output will die 1 by 1.

i know this because it happens to my first xbox around year 2006-2007. if you can get display from composite just quickly sell it off b4 its dead, or send it to MS SG for repair.

i will try with composite cable first. so need to buy one

update: good news.. i on my xbox again like want to check for display before buy composite cable, got display back again... wtf? but im happy.

before my problem, i never on (switch off the main plug) my xbox around 1 month coz wan to focuzxz on exam, is that the reason my xbox dun have display? i on my main xbox plug and let it be from last night until today.

don't think so.... but if it's ok, then it's likely to be ok for some time. So forget about the past. it's not likely to recur if it's ok without you attempt to fix it.

how much do you think to repair this problem if i send to repair shop

i do believe ur xbox had video output problem
maybe dat particular card/device had intermittent issue

i noticed when i suddenly got my display back, the display had some distortion

you can use the component cable that comes with the xbox, dont have to buy a composite. just use the yellow, red, white cable on the component cable, remember to set the switch to TV. then you know if it works. you can ignore the other unused cable.

most likely your box cannot be repaired by "any" shop, its best to get a new unit or just send back to SG for repair.

Frankly, I don't think sending the console to anywhere other than Microsoft Singapore is not a wise move.

If yours a modded console, then good luck to you and don't mention that in LYN as it's not allowed.
