Absolutely adores Kinokuniya they support every single art book ( i got a few which mph and popular cant find) Although kinokuniya is expensive, we are willing to pay because of their service, enviroment and also their support towards most books.
But what i think beats all book stores are 2nd hand book stores. they are rare, very indeed, but i loved to search for very old textbooks and storybooks. those, i'd say are my fav.
Me reckons MPH are abit cheating, but thats just me.

I love Borders because they have Starbucks. It's like my two favorite smells! The smell of new books and freshly-brewed coffee. Bliss.
Popular not so beloved by me anymore. Once I finished schooling, I realized that their reference books seem to outnumber their novels.

You may want to try bookxcess at Amcorp mall. They sell brand new books of 2nd hand price. They also conduct large fairs yearly bigbadwolfbooks.com ... Do check them out on Facebook and twitter www.bookxcess.com

I think a good bookstore will have a great cafe / place to read books. Smaller ones lose out in that there is no space to sit down and read.
