I think it should be duty free and whether it is taxable (sale tax or customs tax) that would be another story depends your luck and perhaps which delivery service choosen also make a difference if the overall value exceeded RM500? From my experience, delivery thru USPS (either first class, priorty, or even express) and EMS which will be handled by our pos Malaysia or poslaju is more likely to attract fees if the value plus postage more than RM500 even it is duty free. But with courier especially via DHL, this is slim. Not sure about UPS or FEDEX, but if not more than RM500 you are safe with them.

CGW will declare the value for you if the merchant includes the invoice with cost value along their shipping slip. If not, you can declare any value if the merchant has not included the invoice with cost value. Anyway, under declared may cause problem if you item is subjected to Customs inspection. I have had shipped an item total valued at its true value of US$450 (inclusive postage) in 27kg volumectric weight, went thru with no tax Not sure about viaaddress.

if you consolidate them then it will be a shipment and the total value counted or otherwise. I reckon you should be fine but there is a slim chance of being taxed as the Customs is now very hardworking to archieve the 32b of revenue target by this year end

Do you mean they only pay the domestic shipping? To me, send direct is better as its just $40 for courier/expedited delivery. Save you time and hassle. The hsg got base delivery charge starting from ~$25. Just my two cents

Not sure about others but my experience with Hopshopgo is good. Even though your item is back order, as long as it reaches your US address eventually that would not be any problem. I don't think they charge you anything being back order. cheers

It is still mystery whether you would get taxed or not if you are on the border line. Since all your item and shipping already more than rm500 there is a likelihood you will get taxed. Rm80 is like 10 to 15% of the total value which make sense. Are you packages are bulky which may attract special attentions?

Declare it as gift but more than rm500 would not help. Make sure value below rm 500 inclusive postage. Cheers

I reckon they go by value and not the content. Purely luck whether they open or not but if you put belt on the customs declaration paper with a sizable package most likel will be opened.

For the address, you might use ommision to simplify. Dhl would easily have it delivered or hey will give you a call to confirm. The myp xxx is your suite no in the hsg facility. They don't go by name but the suite no. For bay, just add th hsg address on your ebaaccount an select it once checkout. Cheers

21 lbs = 9.5 kg
With comgateway, regular account costs you:

First 0.5 kg = US$ 20.75
Every additional 0.5 kg = US$ 3.25

Total for your parcel, shipped with DHL might be:

(1x20.75) + (18x3,25) = USD 79.25

There is surcharge on top that around 10% but would be even off if you are on prime account. Also, delivery will be upgraded to worldwide express if you are on prime account too ie around 3 days to reach destination in klang valley.
