Bought 5 items and have them shipped to my MyAmericanShipper total of $158.66 and after repackaging shipping fees is $34.64.

Received a call from DHL today saying my shipment got taxed because declared value in AWB is above RM1000 ??? WTF! So, tax approx RM80 or so.

Maybe next time I'll try CGW instead.

It is still mystery whether you would get taxed or not if you are on the border line. Since all your item and shipping already more than rm500 there is a likelihood you will get taxed. Rm80 is like 10 to 15% of the total value which make sense. Are you packages are bulky which may attract special attentions?

My 12th shipment was arrived yesterday. Total of RM6++ and got taxed of RM98.8 which is about 12% of total value.. HSG repack my parcel into a large white plastic bag which might looks suspicious.. I think thats why the customs ask me to pay tax.. mad.gif

Declare it as gift but more than rm500 would not help. Make sure value below rm 500 inclusive postage. Cheers

means even declare as gift they will still open it to check the items?

then if declare it as some cheap item with lower than rm500 price might work?

I reckon they go by value and not the content. Purely luck whether they open or not but if you put belt on the customs declaration paper with a sizable package most likel will be opened.

For the address, you might use ommision to simplify. Dhl would easily have it delivered or hey will give you a call to confirm. The myp xxx is your suite no in the hsg facility. They don't go by name but the suite no. For bay, just add th hsg address on your ebaaccount an select it once checkout. Cheers

i use vpost asia to ship 2 items from US and they charged me as 2 different order, so i need to pay 2 times Base charge and accordingly Vpost does not provide consolidate services for Vpost Asia....

Personally i think this is ridicules !! what if i buy 10 items from US then i need to pay 10x Base charge !? In that case, wat's point i using Vpost !?

I looking out for other alternative other than Vpost..... thinking to use CGW or Borderlinx.... which of them is offering consolidating service and better service ?
