I bought one for about RM350 (incl. shipping) if I'm not mistaken. I prefer this to TomTom car kit because it's much smaller, and you can carry it anywhere. I use it with my Ipod Touch to track my jogging distance.

You must jailbreak your Ipod Touch to use this. Install a software called GPSSerial from Cydia. You should be able to use any GPS app from App Store except Google Maps default app. I use Sygic & Papago on my Ipod Touch 1G. In terms of GPS response and accuracy, it's at least as good as IPhone 3GS.

Since Ipod Touch 2G has Bluetooth, another possible way to use GPS is to use Bluetooth GPS receiver eg Holux. Use RoqyGPS app :

Again gps module u refer to is the app or 3rd party device?4g have it own gps installed. For offline map app there is one call omap but not that user friendly.

Might have to jailbreak it , I am quite sure that its possible to make it to work with some apps but not all the apps !

good to hear that. if it really works then i may give my 4 years old Nuvi 200 a retirement or as backup btw, i might need a bit of time to study all this as i'm a newbie to ipod touch and jailbreaking stuff

hmm.. i can get papago to navigate with wifi on on my ipod touch 4g but once when wifi is off.. it cant navigate and cant get my current location already.. fyi.. i didn't use any gps module.. so do i really need a gps module to get papago working?

Izzit by purchasing a 3rd party device da onli way to use gps? Coz i heard from my friend dat gps is actually a small chip inside da ipod. Its builot in for Iphone but not for Ipod touch.
