24p simply means the TV can display at 24 progressive frames per second (same as the film rolling rate in cinema). HDTV commonly accepts 50p/60p and better ones accept 24p.
I've seen a true 24p Blu-ray demo disc connected to a 24p TV and i just cant bear the low frame rate jagginess. 24p does not smooth up the video at all.
why would you want to watch 24P on TV? the point is to accept 24P (from BDs) and do 3:3 pull-down to 72Hz.. (something that the Kuros do well)I've seen a true 24p Blu-ray demo disc connected to a 24p TV and i just cant bear the low frame rate jagginess. 24p does not smooth up the video at all.
rather than 24P source do 3:2 pull-down on normal TVs..
also it's Stutter (time element) not jagginess... (that's reserved for pixel,)
