Yaloh, i really don't know the differences between SLI and Xfire...and i just bought a gc and both also is crossfire. I got google about this problem, some website say can hack the driver or bios than can use the Crossfire on SLI board , but some say can't . I think i need to trade the gc with people edi.. sad.gif

Here's an even better idea.. Sell off the processor, DDR2 memory and motherboard.. tongue.gif

Then get a new processor, DDR3 memory and motherboard that supports both CrossFireX and SLI (usually those X58 and P55) brows.gif

Next time, can use either CrossFireX or SLI with dual graphic cards (no need to change motherboard)... icon_idea.gif

Let's see..

Cheapest for P55 board support both CrossFireX and SLI is MSI P55-GD65, around RM560 (current favorite for medium budget nod.gif )

Cheapest for X58 board support both CrossFireX and SLI is MSI X58 Pro-E, around RM680 (has 3 PCIe x16 slots brows.gif )

If you noticed, he has an SLI board. He also bought 2 graphic card to CrossFireX, which unfortunately is not supported on his board. Most probably TS wants to try multi-GPU setups. I'm suggesting a path where in the future TS will not have any headaches when switching between CrossFireX and SLI. icon_rolleyes.gif

the hacking for SLI and crossfire support is something quite long ago, on intel's 9xx chipsets if not mistaken. haven't heard of it being done on the newer chipsets. anyway now newer motherboards have both, no need to hack.

i think TS would be better off trading both cards for a more powerful singe card wink.gif

agree with above otaimer decisions...let me make simple...
1..sell gc
2..buy good gc for next future...maybe around 1-2 year(untill end)
3..dont start to do SLI or Crossfire Gc (high cost if u are students,on not on budget)
4..make a reading first about SLi,crossfire,n crossfire-x
5..after u full tank of infomation+money+time+technology alert(important)..then start buying..

have a good time...if me wrong given tips..otaimer correct me yaaa...BB(gotch !!)
