Mine also got..once a while..PV70 model... bit annoying when new...after a few months, practically deaf to it oledi...buzzing is a Panny trademark..not sure the newer models. I heard it was the capacitor the used or something like that..

Anyway, do check you plug and the connection at the rear of the TV, make sure it is fully fitted in.

haha...I heard the model before my PV70 also had it...latest S10 still buzzing?...old habits die hard!

Is the buzzing sound from the Plasma Panel or Rear?
Is it on and off?
Will it buzz most of the time when the screen is showing bright colors like white?

If the sound is consistent than can ask Panny to come.

Actually, for my Panny PV70, the tech come twice to my house...refuse to buzz when they come.

What I did was close 3 air vents to reduce the sound, but for my house there is a ceiling fan located on top of the Plasma, so ventilation no problem.

When the power plug is switched on - no sound
When it is on after pressed on from the remote - got buzz sound not very loud, you need to get close to the rear of the TV to hear it, and when color changes, the buzz sound also changes kinda tone changing...

Buzz got two type...actually 3 if you count Buzzlight Year. laugh.gif

First one is the normal one, the plasma panel buzz..only can hear if very close to the TV.
The second one is like what we said, it appears when there is a color change, especially when its from dark to bright, this one suppose to be abnormal..

As I said, if its consistent, then can call Panny technicians to come.

Mine has been like this since day one, lived with it until now when it buzz also I dun hear it oledi.
But I believe this was cured in the newer model.

Anyway, try this method:

Is this due to the problem of miscarrying the TV? The delivery man put the TV in horizontal (not standing) position on the lorry when delivering to my house.

From what I read on the avsforum, almost all the Panny Plasma owners having the similar issue. Is this normal for a Plasma TV?

Seems like it is a normal phenomenon: http://www.av-sales.co.uk/q_plasma.php

I also notice the level of the sound also depends on the source signal, the sound is very low when watching Astro using composite cable but it's getting louder when using HDMI especially 1080p signal

U stay in a high rise or landed property?

Read this...

What types of symptomatic problems occur at altitudes above 6000 feet? Will the plasma TV even operate?
A plasma TV will operate and the picture will be just as vibrant and colorful as it would at sea level. But because of the added altitude pressure, the plasma display must work harder to cool the display element. If the unit has fans, the fans will be significantly louder. If not, and the unit has a convection cooling system without fans, then the units cooling system will make a buzzing noise (the only way to describe it) as it works harder. It is a very real annoyance. Many people have been forced to return plasma TVs due to altitude pressure. One additional consideration is that since the plasma TV has to work harder in the thinner air, the unit will likely not last quite as long as it would at sea level.

I can only heard those buzzing sound if I stay no less than 15cm from TV. But who will sit that close to TV while watching movie? shakehead.gif Any if I sit so close, it is TV watching me not me watching TV. laugh.gif

BY the way, in my house, you can't sit so close cause not place for you to sit. whistling.gif

More that 15cm, I will not notice this buzzing sound. So, it actually did not cause any problem to me. laugh.gif
