but fyi, if u select USA, u can view wii shop, but you can't do any purchasing (it won't accept your credit card registration). So you should select "Brazil". don't ask why, just do it, and u will be able to shop online promise.

you can never brick an unmodded wii. although some people say you can. but i think they are lying.

is the error this (thanks paige): "You cannot use the Shop Channel because you have not agreed to the User Agreements". Kindly state your error message so we can assist u.

and guys, stop scaring him with the bricking story. he already upgraded to 4.2 and obviously we r not dealing with a bricking problem coz he can still use his wii. unless u experienced it yourself, please don't believe everything u hear from the internet.

i had the same problem with my wii too when i first bought it. for some reason the wii doesn't automatically detect the wifi router. So i had to manually assign the ip and dns server ip in the wii setup. i dono, some wifi routers have problems connecting. I am sure it is the wifi router, coz when i bring the wii to my parents house i could connect it without effort.

i don't think is anything wrong with your unit. it is just the problem with the wii to wifi router connection. if u need more help just buzz me and i will give u screen shots on how i setup mine (or u can google it yourself)
