Why is Maybank still charging annual fees when most banks are offering free membership? Is there anyway to get it waived? Please let me know...

Last I heard, MBB is very confident that most of its good CC customers will still be with them as their Management are of the view that only the kiasu & al-cheapo customers will cancel, thus no great loss to them. Further, these so called customers do not contribute much to their bottom line but yet are very demanding. So I guess, even if you cancelled they can't care less tongue.gif

To quote Malaysia's PM, its just RM50 only, so if even that also can't pay, definitely should not be allowed to hold any CC biggrin.gif

I just wrote in to MBB to request for waive of annual membership. Let's see if they will even bother to respond to my fax. If they don't layan, then I'm definitely cancelling the card.

VISA is well accepted nowadays, although previously its acceptance was not as good as MC. For inflight duty free shopping, some airlines accept Diners Club, Amex and VISA, but not MC.
