I assume you are using MBB credit card (VISA/MC) and not MBB AMEX cc. You don't need to do a card change since it works elsewhere. Likely to be a merchant problem. Did you also try to swipe it @ the counter ? (That's a sure fire way for the card to work)do i need a card change? |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Apr 19 2010, 07:03 PM) BTW, how does this CIMB promotion work? For example, CIMB cardholders get *10% discount off total bill everyday throughout the year AND *Rebate 10% every Saturday and Sunday for Starbucks and Burger King. If I spend at Starbucks on a Sunday, do I get 10% rebate on top of the everyday 10% discount? I don't understand why they use the word rebate and discount separately here. Of course I know the 10% rebate only applies on weekends. But how does the 10% daily discount and 10% weekend rebate work together? If I go to Starbucks on a Monday, it says I get 10% discount off total bill everyday so I'm guessing I get 10% discount on a Monday. If I go on a Sunday, however, does it mean I get a total of 20% discount? |

QUOTE(Aurora Boreali @ Apr 19 2010, 08:27 PM) I'm sorry I don't understand your explanation. Theoretically, yes, 20%. However, it says the rebate will be credited on the 10th of the next month, so I'm guessing mine will appear next month, since my statement doesn't show it yet (I charged on the 3rd of this month, statement on the 12th). So I can't confirm until I see my next statement.Of course I know the 10% rebate only applies on weekends. But how does the 10% daily discount and 10% weekend rebate work together? I think starbucks has a 10% service charge (despite the fact that there's no service), which all but wipes out the initial 10% savings. |

Discount - given by the retailer at point of sales
Rebate - given by the bank usually at statement time |
