DA is like maybank, citibank. it has 2 types of card (master n visa). it's better to apply mastercard if u want to choose DA. coz DA mastercard have discounts benefits.

Credit card got credit limit while charge card don't have credit limit.

If I already have a loan account there for RM40K( Hilux ) it should be easier for me to apply for credit card? Can they just take the document I use to make the car loan?

The MU credit card is point based instead of cash rebate. You can find out more on their website. Public Bank doesn't focus on their credit card business much, so there rarely is a promotion or anything.


That's very easy then. You are qualified for a pre-approved complimentary Gold credit card and their MU credit card belongs to the classic card category. Just talk to them and ask them to issue the card to you.

Was told by their cs that processing takes 3 weeks is this true?

What's min CL needed to apply?

I apply for home loan, it took me 2 weeks for approval. Everyday call me to harass me by asking this and that , that and this.

From M2U, I just find out I can view the transaction of a Supplementary Card which doesn't belong to me.
The supplementary's CL is twice my own CL.
Still trying to ge through to Maybank CS line.....

What's the main DA difference with CIMB cc? Currently holding CIMB Plat, so if DA is better then I might just convert it. Thanks for the help

Not very useful but to put in a full page ad in the papers + use the Mastercard brand - I don't think it'll be that bad. Purchase protection has been around for years but this is the first time it is advertised as a feature on its own in Malaysia. Perhaps Mastercard Malaysia is trying to promote usage for its cards.

They did not change the name to Chartis. Chartis is the company selling the insurance. Chartis is the new name for AIG (American International Group).

Despite the new name Chartis, it is still fully under controlled by AIG. Know this because all our insurances are from Chartis (AIG). They got the new name from Greek, it means something like compass.

I just Stopped using Credit card..i got 5 credit cards.
now every year need to pay goverment tax RM50 for each card.
5 cards x rm50 = rm250 ??

If malaysia got 500,000 ppl using credit card then malaysia goverment suddenly pocket money tambah banyak tau.

I check my credit card available balance online almost every other day to check whether my transactions has been posted correctly.

So, my outstanding balance is RM 555. All my transactions has been posted and I have not made any purchases using the credit card since then. By right, my available credit should be RM 555 less than my credit limit, correct? But my available credit is RM 755 less than my credit limit. In other words, my available credit is missing RM 200! I've used the card to pump petrol on 8th of Feb and the RM 200 might be the pre-authorization hold. But the petrol transaction has been posted in my online statement on 9th of Feb, so shouldn't the pre-auth be refunded already? Should I be suspicious of this missing RM 200 from my available credit?

i applied for amex ikhlwan and it has been approved, but when i log on to maybank2u i saw there's another visa ikhlwan gold

wat's tat supposed to mean? maybank trying to squeeze another rm50 out of me or is it their marketting plan to get more ppl ?
