Talking about deffect ... I experience the following major problem yesterday after work and this morning  rclxub.gif

When i went in the car, closed the door and stepped on the break and pressed the start button, all the electronics were cut off. No horn, headlights, meters/LCD ... all not working, like the battery is out and the engine won't start  shocking.gif

I try to slot the remote in the slot below the start button, and it didn't work. I opened the door and closed it (seems like the eletronics came back whenever i opened and closed the door) and tried to start a few times (its like when the car doesn't have enough battery, it starts half way and die off) and finally got it started after 4 - 5 times. When my car finally started, the time and radio channels that i have set are all gone  mad.gif ... it is impossible that the battery is out cos my car is so new and i set auto headlight (the light will auto turn off when i off the engine) ... anyone experience the same problem or have any idea what went wrong?

Hi, There

just to check if you on your fog light too.. to my test, our forte fog lights doesnot seems integrated to main system esp main key cut off (mine dun have push button!!! cry.gif ) and just to verify to if my comes with maintenance free batts too? i.e. if i keep fog light on with main light, when remove key, the fog light will still on!, but main lights off...rclxub.gif this leads to batt drain if you are not careful...

just my 2 cents..

Please sent back your car to service center, battery may also have defect(thats why you have warranty 1 year when you buy a new car battery), ask them to change a new battery for you if possible. This is rare case but it does happen sometime, coz it happen to my friend once tongue.gif

2 times straight? that's a bad one!
sounds like the smart key didn't communicate / line up well with the electronics in the car.

btw i don't use the auto headlight function. tried it once, but it came on quite early. it was drizzling tat time but all other cars around me didn't switch on their head lights so eventually i turned off the lights manually smile.gif
*
Initially i thought that the smart key cannot be detected ... but that wouldn't cause the time and radio channel to reset itself to default right ... a bit weird the problem that i experienced sad.gif

4te,

So sad to see this happened.. you must be very disappointed when these happen especially if someone actually there and say "See, i told you don't buy Korean car". I suggest you to visit the SC immediately and request them to run diagnostic for you ( if they are such thing ). Hopefully the clever designer has a built in fault / error logging mechanism to track what had happened which are stored different from the main battery powered ( Normally that would be on button cell powered NVRam ).

Or at least have them check for the battery's condition.

guess you are very down seeing what happening and for the next few days or weeks, you are keeping your finger cross that you car will starts every time you starting it.. sien. a new phobia with the new car after this.

And don't forget to updates this to the myForte problem discussion and also post this to KM FB.. ( if you don't mind telling people what you experienced.. as it is kind of shame to experience that )
*
Yesterday after work, i was walking with a colleague who drives Civic and he commented that "wow, your kia looks very nice hor" ... and then cannot start, really potong stim ler cry.gif

Ok, i think i will post my problem in KM FB later today.

At Naza Kia, they only allocate after booking fees + load approve + down payment. To lock-in the car, you'll have to provide down payment. Here it goes again.. chicken and egg questions/answers.. if you are sure that you wanna buy, better provide down payment and lock-ion the car. If you are still unsure, because you need the car quick like in 1 months time.. to be practical and frank, don't wait, get another car.

I feel the car is worthy waiting for.. I drive a spicy red 1.6SX

well, what if u settled everything and yet they're not able to allocate the car for u within 1 month period? allocate the car need to take so freaking long meh?
And also if im not wrong the loan period is up to 1 month only, if still havent get ur car within that period u need to go back to the bank and resign again is it?
For me loan can get approve within a week or so depending on ur document but not this freaking car, so they should have allocate (lock-in or whatever u called it) the car first den once the car is ready for collection, buyer will sign the loan and pay the remaining balance (downpayment)
This is the FREAKING way to to business, not just overpromised and keep pursuading customer to settle everything and wait for nothing!

What I mean is they have totally no stock for the car. If they have stock, I don't mind to put in the money for waiting to allocate.
just like the feeling of the person who book 2.0, everything paid, but stock not even appear and need wait.
I play safe, if keep no stock, then I still can pull my money to buy another car. Not giving them money to spend and asking me to wait.

It is a chicken and egg situation like Victor has mentioned. If you decided to go for this car, and for better chance of car allocation, you are strongly advised to pay your down payment. We all know the 1k booking means nothing.

But again, you are right, if there is no car, even though you pay for down payment, you won't be getting one like me, and the rest of 2.0(SX).

Let say, the next batch has few hundred of units, and you are the one who didn't pay d/p earlier vs those who paid, who has better chance of getting the car? May not be you.

I think the situation is tough, demand > supply. You want the car, then you pay for allocation no matter there is stock or no, coz end of the day you still want the car. Unless you are frustrated with this kind of situation, then you better pull out and opt for other car.

No point hanging in there with 1k booking, hope/pray for stock availability, then only pay your d/p. I believe you will be on the queue until demand < supply.

laugh.gif That should be the way, unfortunately, Naza Kia has abandoned the Booking Fee concept. Its really not fair for consumer actually. But then again, if they had set a right expectation to customers, I believe buyers won't be that frustrated.

I have to say byebye to my old waja coming Monday, the car dealer offer me 18K only ..haha
Coming will be my tough days, no car to use..only got a Honda KapCai.
I have to pray everyday for quick arrival of my forte2.0.

One question, Is the source comes from Careline reliable enough?
As what I understand, my SA got their latest news regarding car allocation from their branch manager..
Who shall I believe, my SA or Careline?? This Naza really sucks, give different info from different sources. mad.gif mad.gif

Once fullpayment and loan agreement sign, is no turning back, if he said 2 years later only got car, u also have to wait and pay for the car loan.

Not that rich that to pay 75k/82k/83k for Naza to draw their profit chart nicely.

Naza give too many empty promise. When did KIA wanna come in by themselves.

KIA comes in by themselves, Forte will be 90k for 1.6 and probably 110k for 2.0

If you haven't got the car, you don't have to pay the car loan installment la.
