yup. no AP cert cannot trade in/sell car. or else pakai sampai mati.
if you still insist to sell the car with no AP, consider kereta curi

check with your SA. i didn't get it when collect the car. but at the sametime yhlee (lyn forummer also) get the cert.
all CBU unit should have AP cert copy

For my case, it was submitted to me together with JPJ geran on the spot before I collected my car. It is a needed document if you want to sell the car in future. I was only given the photocopy of the AP cert. The original document is with JPJ.

Please push your SA to get the copy for you...

Added on December 26, 2009, 9:45 am1. AP docs are required if you need to sell/trade in a "kereta import baru". These docs are:
(a) Declaration of Goods Imported ;
(b) Application for Import Licence (JK69)

2. You can request for a copy of these from your SA, since your Forte is a "kereta import baru". Original copies are with JPJ

They will only have the photocopies for car buyers' safekeeping, because the original copies should be with the authorities (JPJ or Custom, not too sure)...

Congratulation on the good news.. I am wondering.. with each of this "new car is avaiable" for delivery.. are they from the first batch's left overs or there are all new out of the oven car from car production or ports ?

I thought all SA said only 1.6EX is not fully sold where 1.6SX are gone.
