My White Forte after SierraGlow service!!!

I so happy for the result after driving 6 days with 2 times wash coz very easy get dust stick on paint.
Forte owner group, please think about it for this important addon. Now new Forte owner will continue get the 10% discount from new price RM650 (weekday).
Please do it asap before the paint colour out coz my white forte part of rear bumper turn to light yellow spot coz by exhaust paip. Lucky it gone after the service.

Just for sharing!!!  thumbup.gif

I was told that Porsche 911s also have that sort of stonechip clear plastic sticker.

But if you don't like it then remove lor.
Its your car anyway...
*
julz, urs was not removed during the glow session?
u asked not to be removed one is it?

the films should be on the 4 doors right? quite small... i prefer to find some good mud guards... non-mugen one... where to get ar?

maybe the SG team thinks that the glassglow is as good as the film, so got it removed.

anyway washing the car is really easy now... spent less than half an hour to get it washed. just spray water on the car and wipe it with micro fibre cloth, done biggrin.gif

QUOTE(whiteforte @ Jan 10 2010, 03:21 PM)
Guys,

A few things to clear up:-

1) a soft 'kok kok' sound during the first few minutes of starting the enigne & driving off.
2) a bit of burnt smell after driving for some time & then turning off the engine. Happened to my Myvi as well. Service center said it's due to the undercarriage coating on the Myvi.

So, are the above normal?
Thanks.
*
touch wood... none of the above. but i find it strange tat engine is quite loud during cold start. rpm goes up to 2k before coming down. even without pressing the accelerator.

this is for the 2009 Q4 stock. The new 2010 stock will arrive late Jan but will cost additional 2k, or total 86k OTR... smile.gif

avante so cheap already? hmmm... good choice for those who want peace of mind since they have the longest warranty period / mileage
but still not my cup of tea la... the look is just sweat.gif compared to forte... no offense to avante owners though... it's another value for money buy icon_rolleyes.gif

Actually i tested a few methods ... my friend from SG told me that they use small metal ruler, but it will leave small scratches, i tested the method but failed. I tried to use the small screw driver (the one to fix glasses) but failed too. Last Saturday when doing the tinting my fren's dad actually owns a tire shop right beside the tinting shop, so i checked with the worker and he said must remove the whole tire and i asked him to show me how to remove from a demo rim and he just used his finger to poke from the inside, so i was thinking maybe can just suck it out with the suction hook,  which is not expensive and some might already have it at home, and it works hehehe  rclxm9.gif

Happy DIYing to all when you get your wheel caps biggrin.gif

FC for me is appalling now... approx 100km only on the clock and all urban driving... 14+L/100km... hopefully will drop as the engine chalks up more kms.
*
wow... ur place is full of traffic jam is it?

i was caught in traffic jam over the past 2 days. 1/2 an hour each around PJ area, and saw avg FC shot up from 8.3 to 8.9. but since idling rpm is less than 700 (690 to be exact, thx to bro victor info), i guess it's really considered not bad already.

anyway, if u guys interested with the KIA, wanna get it together with the wheel center caps? the black background one instead of the silver background being purchased by bro 4te.

whole set (front & rear + 4 wheel caps) around RM 200. Price depends on USD currency but now whole set price back to below 200 dy. last time slightly above 200.

front plate in 2 rows is not nice. she even suggested me to swap with the back one laugh.gif

where to find the kia - power to suprise plate holder? must get from kia dealer?

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Jan 13 2010, 08:50 PM)
Welcome? tongue.gif I was one of the earliest regulars in our LYN Forte thread... even in the old one laugh.gif

Conclusion: It's not a perfect car, but which car is? I won't say it's a better car than the Civic, but I refuse to say it's inferior as firstly I'm biased and secondly the Civic is horrendously overpriced in M'sia. If you're in Australia, it may be easier to choose the Civic but you can only get the lowest end model with the Forte's price. If you can fork out the price for a 2.0 Civic in Aussie, you may want to look at the Golf which in terms of prestige, is a class above the Civic.
*
well said. in malaysia i think the only thing we can say is that, it's real value for money. thumbup.gif

I quite prefer 1 row number format or long license plate to avoid blocking the front bottom good looking shape. But very difficult to take care this kind of long plate holder coz the bracket no strong enough to hold long plate holder and both side will look curve after sometime.

KIA plate holder - "Power of Surprise" can request from Naza Rawang where original give me Naza - "driving difference" and I request change to KIA to suite my KIA emblem.
New coming Forte owner remember to request KIA plate holder!
