I think with the Avante 2.0L CVVT selling for RM84k and offering a 5-year warranty, it is a good opportunity for us to push Kia to lower their prices further instead of raising it.
*
84k quite a good price , last I enquirer only 5k discount.
FYI that's the after discount price, and mostly 3rd or 4th quarter existing stock

engine wise can't compare to the 2.0 offered by Kia Forte

interior wise I prefer Forte, and the interior available in the brochure which is nicer isn't available in the variant

Features wise Forte will overun this car , but power + price it is a better buy than 1.6SX

*
yah that's about the price I was quoted but was in Nov 2009

yup, I also saw it at the IOI Fair... basically they will discount another 5k if you don't want to pre-pay for the 3 years free service... tongue.gif

this is for the 2009 Q4 stock. The new 2010 stock will arrive late Jan but will cost additional 2k, or total 86k OTR... smile.gif
*
even at 86k is a nice price ...

p/s if selling at 98k compare to Kia Forte 2.0SX at 93k, I doubt they can really sell this car

no people can confirm to you, because the documents is cannot be show out ...
people here keep tell you CBU and CKD will get the same quality, i guess is Naza or SA peoples only support its ...  Or maybe ready have some people like "Malaysia Boleh!" ...
Anywhere if you interest buy, you better booking now with the agreement there remember highlight it you need CBU not CKD, cannot get it just refund (if them confirm you MUST have, then you put the terms there refund x2 - i think not SA with sign to you ... hahaha) ...
*
FYI there won't be any official agree for your CBU unit , as the car are sold as CKD.

NAZA KIA FORTE IS OFFICIALLY A CKD UNIT - FULL STOP

you want to know the detail's of your bookings, please be nice to your SA and if you are close enough with him he/she will tell you alot of stories even help you to check on your defect items !

ps: we would really appreciate if you could restructure the sentence and vocab, at certain point it is hard to understand what are you trying to implement, besides the CBU vs CKD thingy

previously gov said 3.5% for all non-national car.
now can get below 3% already.

just hunt for the right bank..
*
Usually Malaysian Local cars are having higher interest rate, but there's once Proton team up with EON to offer special rate and that time if I can recall properly 1-2 % lower compare to other car make.

If a car have a fix market to sell, might as well maintain or increase the price right ?
For proton the cars are selling well especially the 5k scrap programme? So where else can they have profit (not directly to Proton but is control by proton) so Bank loans is the answer lor .. a slightly higher rate compare to other manufacturer

Guys , i booked my forte last month ..but my wife ask me to change it to Honda City  which is belief to be more reliable, resale value...cheaper spare part price..etc..
wat u guys think?
*
if resell value is a concern go for City but if you plan to use the car for more than 8 years Forte is a better choice cause by the end of the day the differences isn't much imagine by 10 years Forte is selling at 25k City is 33k ? Just a small assumption

Spare part price will be another gamble as it depends on supply & demand, I do agree toyota parts are cheap because things haven't been change and alot of share parts in between Daihatsu, Perodua, Vios as well as Altis .... but for Honda I really doubt so, a good reference is City's 7 speed gear box problem. common parts like air filter, gasket yes probably cheap cause alot of OEM manufacturer.

Is Kia a problem car ? can't judge it by now cause in Malaysia only 2 months OTR, but our friends in Singapore, Iraq, Australia had push this car's limit to another - you can search around for more info

yeah man.. but i hope this is pressure for Kia to reduce their prices, especially since the Avante can get loan at 1.99%... i got all this info from the IOI roadshow...
*
price reduction - don't really think so because Avente is on another position - 2009 old stock , booking figures is low, so I doubt Forte will drop any price at the moment because it is hot waiting list 2-3 months ?! Naza cannot promise ex-stock , only promise within 2-3 months, it was 1-2 months on the day of launching.....

Just came back from 1U ... was at the showcase for quite some time... FORTE do really catches ppls eyes

I was there looking here and there in and out to find out things to change/ improve:
1) Emblem
2) Skirting - for current owner please check underneath the chassis frame there's an uneven surface from the front wheel to back wheel
3) Add on isulation to the aircon pipings - as per modification by our Singaporean neighbor seems like there's improvement of aircon efficiency

On the other hand by the look of the aircon unit it seems can be service by local workshop ... so I think need nto to worry that much for the aircon as i believe local sifu can tackle it.

4te could you prpobably post the info at MyFORTE club in FB .... the info looks good , btw it looks like time to have TT for Penang and do recruit new member to join MyFORTE club wei .. we shall have alot of activities together !!

Bro, as for item 3, the insulation must be perfectly done to avoid any condensation in the insulation. If it is not nicely done and there is condensation between the pipe and insulation, then it might be bad for the pipe in the long term. I think if the aircon is cold enough for you, better dont do anything and let the Sg owners test for 1-2yrs and if nothing happens to the pipe, then we can do it.

Initially, I was thinking of DIY using the good quality insulation tape for aircon pipe to ensure that no gap whatsoever between the pipe and insulation, but ater looking at the pipe, its very difficult to do it with the limited space and came across this discussion among the Sg members http://www.ceratoforte.sg/general-discussi...ighlight=aircon ... so decided to drop this mod and wait and see. But, so far i am happy with the aircon and 24c cold enough for me biggrin.gif
*
looks like need to rethink .. space wise is not a problem is the workmanship and the material use, they are using ceble tie to keep the isulation intact I doubt that is a good material to use.

Now another concern is the after effect.. probably 4te is right check out how are they doing after 2 years....

Just got back from Naza TTDI branch for the Forte Test Drive...1 word 'amazing' feeling....but the 17 inch rims really gives the comfort away...but still love it. Well just paid booking fees for spicy red and 2 month waiting list according the SC. Anyway...the SC were saying price will go up least 3K in Mar...not sure is true....but didnt bother to ask much...so gonna wait for my beauty.... biggrin.gif
