For those who already GLOW their car.. can give some feedback?
i know its easy to wash the dirt but how about tar?

is it easy to remove too?

mine got some tar dirt at below part of the car..
it's obvious on white color...

Bro, my replacement car for Forte is a D-Segment car lah.. going to enjoy the ride but have to live with High FC 

Thought if Bombaman come back with good news.. i can still pull the emergency brake and back to Forte.. as I need to hand over my old car tomorrow.

Jz back from the showroom, the SA told me 2.0 is stop for booking.. they wanna jack up the price to 113K... Sucks

Yes,his replacement car is D-segment. Forte 2.0 C-segment.
In terms of engine both 2000cc, D-segment bigger size & heavier.
Won't that affect the car performance?
Does it mean Forte2.0 would be more powerful ?

Previously I like to own a D-segment if I can afford it.
Now, I'd prefer to have C-segment .the size is just nice,not too big not too small as mine is just small family.

History
- Daily task reporting in LYN & AW daily following news on Forte for weeks.
- Check out the Forte 1 day before Launching at the showroom
- Booked the 2.0SX on the Launching Day paying RM2000 booking fees, SA saying car will be available in December.
- Overjoyed that its finally here and I am the 2nd person booking in that dealer branch meant when they have the car with matching color.. I am the first / second to get it.
- Followed by anxious and frustration for the next 1 month of wait, call, disappointment, uncertainty... and depress. ( I am the type of person that do not like to wait long for things that I am buying )
- Finally decided to cancel the booking on Dec 23rd after SA and Carelines telling no 2.0SX in coming 6 months time.
- followed by mixed feeling after cancellation for the whole week especially numerous rumors / sources stating starts delivery in Jan 2010, car is at PK.. and also.. hopes as SA promised as long as I didn't collect my refund check, I can still get the car when they are available for delivery.

5 mins ago, my phone rang and for the first time, I saw my SA's name appear on the caller ID ... what came across my mind is the car is Here !!. And from the phone.. he is telling me that I can come and collect now. When I asked him collect car ? he said.. nope, your refundable booking fees cheque is ready.

So.... Officially Bye Bye to Forte. I shall missed you especially when I bump onto one on the road, in the parking lot in future thinking.. I am that close to own one myself.

You are very right, the Forte 2.0 will be more powerful for the power to weight ratio.. I am also small family of 2 only

hihi.. then every time when wanna pump fuel.. bring my wife.. she owns a 1.3 myvi.. let her swipe the myKAD n thumbprint..pour the fuel to my car.. hahaha..

I am still will hang around for a while lah.. very hard to suddenly stop visiting this after it became a daily routine .. this Thread is like Drugs that made me addicted since weeks ago. Gov already tax so high on high income ( Based on Tax table ).. now they want to increase more ... sad.

Even we drive different cars.. still can hang out when got chances.

I had removed it during glowing my car, to avoid difference colour long time later.
It may use for alignment purpose. Anyhow, remove it and make it look same!

i got a question here.. to those who still have the original booklet for the kia forte, can u pls check the dyno chart provided and look at the torque curve? if imma not wrong there is a torque dip after 4k rpm am i wrong?

any1 use nitrogen on tyre d? read n heard it reduce noise n prolong tyre life. any workshop in PG hv this n whic 1 cheapest? how muc? i heard its RM 5 per tyre (1st time, refill after tat oni 50 cent/ tyre)

If u really interested for leather seat, maybe i can help you to ask my friend who run his own car leather business....

Just called my friend, Mr Goh who doing car leather business...
He said the DK do promotion for WAJA is because the DK got extra OEM leather for WAJA and quality for the leather is difference.
Some PVC are mixed with leather and the cost is cheaper....
He is asking, are your guys wanna to apply door panel leather as well?
If all the full leather apply, standard price maybe rm2k plus....
The price is depends on the package you prefer....
If wanna with cheaper price, can mix some PVC for bottom or no visible part......
Will get some name card for your guys and you all can check out with him.
Definitely you will get the cheaper price compare to others.

Sorrylah cannot attend TT yesterday. got 2 other functions to fulfill. So..any reports regarding TT yesterday e.g. tint comparison or whatsoever? Kindly share it here 

the conclusion is stock tint more cooler than tinted one     
no thorough test la.. all people burned under direct sunlight already.. cannot tahan

Cos changing the speakers does not need any additional wiring, so i would think should be ok

Based on my SQ experience....
The Forte sound system is consider ok lo....
Because everyone judge SQ level is difference.
By just change the speaker not really improve alot on SQ.
Is depend on head unit spec which how high/clear output from HU.
Example, if you got 1 pair of very good speaker like Focal installed at Forte's HU.
The SQ maybe just 10-20% difference...
What u need still an amplifier to juice up the good speaker....

Just my 2 cents....

Yup, the stock speakers are capable of producing good sound quality after adjusting the bass, mid and treble that suites you  (the default setting has too heavy bass to my ears).

Remember our early "agreement", we all had given one more opportunity to Naza and ourselves, if the car is not here by end of Jan, we are going to cancel booking or downgrade to 1.6(SX). Though, I am not sure how many of you would do that.

I will definitely cancel the booking is the car is not here by end of Jan. So, mean while till end of Jan, what I can do is waiting, i.e. giving everybody a chance before jumping to conclusion.

Well, this is my version of the story :

-my SA said yesterday that our 2.0s will be send to Naza manufacturing plant at Gurun today. If this is a true fact, we can safely assume that Naza will start assembling our car by this week also. So maybe we can expect car allocation by the end of this month..hopefully

If 2.0 is CBU, why does it need to be send for assembly some more?   
Sorry, i don't mean to bring up this CBU thingy with you guys... rest assure i have book my 2.0 as well... 

just to update. my brain shortcircuit last nite and clock 170KM/H at 4.5~4.6K RPM. slightly downhill slope (federal highway) but meter shows 4.5K. Probably it should be 4.6K on straight line..

hmmm.. is forte powderful enough?
