cannot get 6L/100km lerrr.. manufacture advertise figure also 7.1L/100KM lerr..
i can get 7.9 to 8.6L/100KM city driving and bit highway driving. if stuck in jam usually 9 ~ 12L/100KM ler..

for those who claim can get 6L/100Km, it is because they reset the reading during cruising on hiway one lerr.. whistling.gif  whistling.gif

Good to hear that ... my 9.5l/100km is quite normal then hehehe icon_rolleyes.gif

Surprisingly the must-do list after you get your Forte does not include sound-proofing.
Everything's quiet except tire noise. Wallet no money also must do. smile.gif
Any recommendation in Penang?
My SA still owes me RM150. smile.gif

Oh goodie, more Silver bros. smile.gif
My time also the same, got only white, silver or black. No Tits. sad.gif
*
Titanium Silver is a more unique colour then rclxm9.gif

Bro, actually i am interested in sound proofing also, but the installer will have to remove a lot of parts to install the insulator and of course after tinting, no budget for sound proofing anymore sad.gif

If you plan to go down to KL to glow your Forte, maybe you can do the wheel ache and door sound proof at autofoam in KL, which costs around RM1k. Sorry dont know any installer in Penang.

I will be going for my 1st service this saturday, according to the service booklet, the next service would be 5000KM and then 10000KM. If i were to use fully synthetic oil, do i need to go back for 5000km service? or should I just follow the booklet and use mineral oil?

I know a few here are using fully syn oil, is there any difference?

Good news to all those who participated in wheel cap group buy ... I have managed to remove the wheel cap DIY without scratching the rim one bit and it took me 10 seconds to remove one biggrin.gif ... cost is RM4.99 on the suction hook (3 x hooks, but you need only one and can use them at home after removing the wheel caps icon_rolleyes.gif ), which i bought from Parkson. It is really simple, just press and pull and its out ... anyway for benefit of all, i will come up with a proper DIY instruction once i get the wheel caps rclxms.gif

Attached Image

For those from Penang or prefer COD, you no need to buy the suction hook cos i can just "suck" all the caps out for you when i pass the caps to you if you dont mind biggrin.gif

1K, 5K & 10K

if fully synthetic
1K, 10K & 20K
no need to go back at 5K. that one is for mineral.

ok thanks bro ... is there any difference between minerals and full syn?

@4te, so the naza logo is just a sticker? if u suck it out, whats inside the cap? try to capture a photo without the logo?

if its good as without the logo, might just take it out and leave it like that hehe biggrin.gif
*
The NAZA wording is actually a sticker pasted on a grey colour plastic wheel cap.

Attached Image

i dont think you want to just remove the cap and leave what inside the cap expose unless you really want to be very unique and outstanding tongue.gif ... as requested here is the photo without wheel cap:

Wow your really brilliant to come out with this method. haha.

*
Actually i tested a few methods ... my friend from SG told me that they use small metal ruler, but it will leave small scratches, i tested the method but failed. I tried to use the small screw driver (the one to fix glasses) but failed too. Last Saturday when doing the tinting my fren's dad actually owns a tire shop right beside the tinting shop, so i checked with the worker and he said must remove the whole tire and i asked him to show me how to remove from a demo rim and he just used his finger to poke from the inside, so i was thinking maybe can just suck it out with the suction hook, which is not expensive and some might already have it at home, and it works hehehe rclxm9.gif

Happy DIYing to all when you get your wheel caps biggrin.gif

Bro, Parkson, Gurney Plaza cos i am from the island smile.gif

Anyway, you can buy any suction cup/hook, but must not be too small and of course not bigger than the wheel cap then it should work. I prefer hook cos you can use the hook to pull it out and of course the one i found fits the size and bill perfectly (was looking for suction hook that is not more than RM5) smile.gif

Bro.. u can buy the suction cap at pasar malam too..  biggrin.gif
He is showing a example.. I am a poor man, and will change the wheel cap with STICKER type.. I bough it for RM 13 for 4 pcs of KIA sticker type..
Will update here on my DIY base on fte 's idea..
*
Actually i bought a sticker too, pretty cheap on eBay (i think i did share with the rest in V1) ... a bit too small to cover the whole wheel cap, but since i bought it already, might as well use it to cover the NAZA word temporary while waiting for my caps. It looks quite ok, but it lasted for 1 week after a few days of heavy rain (one cap half fell off) and of course it doesn't fit the wheep cap nicely, so i pulled out all.

Wow, its really a steal if you dont mind second hand ... but have to check and make sure accident free la smile.gif

BTW, i thought Forte is selling like hot cakes in Malaysia and 3 months waiting list and possible price increase ... why they are selling the test drive unit so cheaply ... i thought Forte should fetch a higher resale value hmm.gif

Sorry bro, i will be giving one to the 1st person who joined the group buy and paid up and keeping two cos going to suck for all the Penang kaki (unless they are not willing la biggrin.gif) and afraid one might spoil and need one for backup smile.gif

If you dont mind to wait, i can give it to you after all the sucking is completed cos i dont use that at home anyway and will not need to replace the wheel caps anymore after installing the original Korte caps biggrin.gif

Sorry bro cos didnt know u r buying too ... maybe the one you get is better quality. Mine is Made in China and only USD3.99 including shipping ... so i dont expect much smile.gif

I think cos the size doesn't fit the cap (smaller than the wheel cap), so water can go into the double side tape or the double side tape is not strong enough or maybe just the one that I got is defective (so cheap and made in china, what you expect right sweat.gif ). Since u bought it already, can give it a try and if it fits nicely to the wheel cap, i think it will last longer lor smile.gif

Mine's a 2.0L Forte... and it's still too early to determine the FC. The numbers I quoted were taken directly from the car's computer display and shouldn't be considered as fully accurate. Drove a total of 50km today to and fro from my workplace and it's now showing 12+ and will possibly drop even more in the next few days with more driving.

The fuel gauge needle descends quite fast though, but I'll only calculate the FC the next time I head off to the pump. Then again I'm not sure what kind of cheap petrol I was given as my dealer provided a full tank upon collection as part of the deal.

After changed with KIA amblem, is it strong enough? will rain water slip in the 3M double sided tape and end up the whole emblem peel off.
I'm little worry about it..

This must ask yourself, u love your wife more or your mum more?
More by 1% also nevermind, at least u got the conclusion...
*
Bro, the KIA emblem is using thick 3M double side and very strong indeed ... impossible to remove it with your hand and no to worry about the water ... the double side tape that the wheel cap sticker is using is no brand and very thin type, which i think not that good quality. Actually when i peel off the other 3 stickers, they are quite tight but of course nothing close to the 3M tape la cos use fingers kau tim already biggrin.gif

Basket, just now while driving back from work, I stopped at the traffic lights. Suddenly heard 'pong' & car shook a bit & then a bike zoomed past.
When I got home & parked my car, came down to look, looked ok. Maybe light a bit dim. Gonna check again tomorrow. Hopefully nothing wrong.

Welcome? tongue.gif I was one of the earliest regulars in our LYN Forte thread... even in the old one laugh.gif
Our Australian Forte is relatively under-speced compared to Msia and Spore - No leather seats, no push start or smart key, no auto-dimming rearview mirror. Nevertheless it is cheaper after currency conversion.
