Hello, newbie here. Currently hunting for HT set.
After hearing so many good things about SVS, from friends and everywhere...
I think I will most probably get a PB12-NSD...
(Must still find time to visit maxx for audition...)

A quick opinion poll...
Which set would make a better match for SVS sub?
KEF iQ10 + iQ50 + iQ60C
or
PSB Image T5 + C5 + B4?

For home theatre use, i think the svs sub wud be able to match any of your speaker selection. Personally, i prefered and bought the Kef iQ50 + iQ60c. Would recommend u to take the iQ30 instead of iQ10 for the surround if u are choosing this route. Let me qualify tho that i am not particularly over demanding in my taste, thus the svs + the iQ satisfy me tremendously ..... moreover the iQ design is very wife friendly ,, hehehehe.

the subdude is not a remedy, it is meant to isolate yr subwoofer for "better" (debateable) bass production.

i have plaster ceiling at my tv area. there is a trapdoor that wud vibrate when certain sub frequencies are reached. i just take down the trapdoor, stick on some wool along all the contact points, replace it back to the ceiling, the vibration is eliminated.

Any pic to show huh?
I dun think our typical bolehland house is designed to withstand low freq wave & with plaster ceiling installed making things even worse especially you have these monster cylinders or boxes sitting inside the house & pound the surrounding like no other biz.  tongue.gif
BTW, SVS mentions that cylinder type is their traditional way of making a sub....is that true?

sorry bro, kinda cumbersome for me to climb and take down the trap door for a camera shot.

those wools, u can buy at any of the hardware shops. they are precut in rectangular/square/circle that u often use for the feet of the chairs, tables. one side is sticky tape the other is felt or woollen like material. they are cheap, about rm3 per packet. these are good remedy for contact vibration as in the case of my plaster trapdoor in the ceiling.
