Yes, SVS came out with cyclinder sub initially.

lightning69, only that particular downlight?
*
Yep, that particular downlight right above the sub. You can see it dance during the low freqeuncy part.

Probably due to very bare acoustic treatment. Now, I am interested to do corner trap.
*
I am not sure if acoustic treatment will help. What I do know is during those super low frequency time where you can fell the wave moving thru the room(what the sub suppose to do) the ceiling also vibrates.

Anyway, i have my sub volume at 12.

I have 2 sets of this in the HT room

Everytime the PB13-Ultra flexes its muscle, it will vibrate sweat.gif For the record, my Ultra is being tuned at 74dB as I have yet to rectify some acoustic issue.

Hopefully get it done by this week.

I have one of these on top of the TV. The downlight on top of the woofer is those type where it fits into the plaster ceiling.

I have moved all my equipments down to ground floor living room while waiting to re-construct my theater room...have the same experience as some of you guys - plaster ceiling cracked. Mine is cracked along the join to the wall, for a few feets long... sweat.gif Consider my setup is quite simple and basic, sub volume at 11, sub level is at -3 at receiver, and receiver volume normally at between -25 to -20. And mine is only PC12-NSD, belum ultra lagi. If I crank the receiver to -15...maybe projector also fall down when Iron Man walk out from the cave... laugh.gif

Customer Review: By Ed Mullen, SVS PC12-Plus

Quote: "At reference levels, and if the source material calls for it - this sub effortlessly provides vision blurring, teeth rattling, couch moving, guts turn to Jell-O, pants waffling, stuff falls off the shelves upstairs, call the fire department - REAL DEAL ULTRA LOW INCREDIBLY POWERFUL BASS."

So exciting huh...... sweat.gif

I wonder PC-12NSD has the similar impact too? cool2.gif

Vision blurring: At first I thought my projector rosak...then realized it's actually the screen which was vibrating.
Couch moving: Although not really move, it did vibrate
Pants Waffling: Since my sofa is vibrating, I didn't pay attention if my pants are waffling
Stuff falls off the shelves: Everything on shelves are placed stable, but it cracked my plaster ceiling.
Call the fire department: House next to mine is still vacant.

And I'm using PC12-NSD...and my listening volume is only -24 to -20. I'd say get one if you are low on budget. The Ultra if you have the money to spend. smile.gif

klimal paid me a visit this afternoon for a self-poison. Let him auditioned the PB13-Ultra since he already has PC12-NSD. His HM said that the beast is gigantic with jaw-dropping LFE. He's very impressed with performance too.

Anyone know how to edit those test scenes and combines it into different tracks / chapters in a single BD. This will make demo easier.

Thanks for the hospitality.
I was surprised by the sheer size of the PB Ultra13. It needs a dedicated HT room for it to shine methinks.
The bass was so well controlled and tactile. My PC12-NSD sounds anemic in comparison.
I was pleasantly surprised at how well it integrated with music.
I think the positioning plays a big part. Mine is corner loaded due to space constraints and I guess it overwhelms the music. Tweaking is in the works now.
I was thinking a another PC12-NSD for the other corner, but after listening to this monster, I am torn at maybe getting just one of this 13Ultra to replace the PC12. Any comments?

Honestly, if u are into movies, there is no such thing as too much bass. The bigger the better. Better yet, get a pair. And get a SVS AS-EQ1 to equalize them!

For serious music, thats another thing altogether.

2x PC12-NSD will still yield the same performance in sound quality. You will be getting abt 6dB more by placing another 12-NSD. The bass response would be better since it will be more balance. Your PC12-NSDs do not need to work as hard.

By adding second sub, the output will not double. Many ppl have the misconception. That's why I am reluctant to put another Ultra in there to have a more even response.

A PC12-Plus would easily outperfoms PC12-NSD in terms of sound quality. It goes lower, tighter bass note, more tactile and blends well too. As for PC13-Ultra, I guess that I do not have to convince you on its sheer performance as it is near identical to PB-Ultra.

My advice is to sell the PC12-NSD and get either PC12-PLus or PC13-Ultra. Getting 2 PC12-NSDs is a lot more expensive than a PC12-Plus and it is nearly the price of a PC13-Ultra. But, with NSD, the limitation is already there.

Cheers
