I just came back from watching "Assassin Bodyguards" and the characters were all either suited or in traditional Chinese dress. If you have a lean figure (no potbelly) I think the traditional dress can be very flattering. I wonder why they have died out while the suit lives on. I hope to get myself a bespoke Chinese dress someday (real Old World quality, not some stupid replica) if I happen to be in China.


Added on December 21, 2009, 12:42 amStrangely, the colours of traditional Chinese dresses in that movie are the same as those deemed to be most suitable for males in suiting. They were in indigo (like navy) and grey.
