 HELP.... MY I ACCIDENTLY WET MY IPHONE, water mark on the screen

i accident split wate on my bag... my my iphone was wet...
now got mater mark on the screen... how?
pls help me....

how come got watermark when its only plain water? anyway iphone is waterproof 1 ma.. no? some people soak or wash the iphone with soap oso no problem..

are u sure?
coz i put cologne in the bag... when i open the bag... whole bag wet.. and now when i on it the background there's water....
and always change to aeroplane mode.. cant receive and make phone call...

btw let me what phone can wash with water and soap...
i also wanna invest one....

err 3g iphone also waterproof? if i didn't remember wrong.. only 3gs iphone is waterproof right?

I don't think so, the phone is not designed to b waterproof, ur warranty will b voided for sure, don't think there's anything you can do TS except sending the iPhone for cleaning up the watermark.

@ladyliu,
See if crxr can do anything for U. In the meantime, wait it out and let it dry before switching it on; I hear putting the phone in a pot of rice may help the drying process.

i turn off the phone then blow dry it... then it can automatically on again and come this... not supported then ask me change to plane mode... i scared to do it again..
ya... now i put in the rice...

@ladyliu,
I've never tried the putting phone in rice to dry method before but I read from the internet it works; let us know if it works.

Apple is going to know U took the phone for a swim (plus there are ways to tell if the phone's been wet - go read the manual!) so I doubt U be able to get a warranty claim but if it's really gone haywire, no harm trying.

if ur phone damage by water, u can see it at the dock position and the earphone jack got reddish spot.... kindda litmus paper theory...

after i put in the rice my phone alot better.... i can see that my lcd not that wet... maybe 70% better....

but got alot of line in lighter color... dunno what is that...

the rice trick works.. I tried that on my 1st gen iPod touch before smile.gif all water marks behind the screen gone.
