Hello guys, I just want to make things clear for me.
HDTV = A TV with at least 720p capability with built-in HDTV tuner, and HD-Ready = A TV with at least 720p capability without built-in HDTV tuner but support external inputs of HD signal. This is what I understand. But it seems that nowadays people say HDTV = a 1080p TV and HD-Ready = 720p TV. To me, a 1080p TV without a built-in HD tuner is still a HD-Ready TV or more properly called FULL HD-Ready TV... well, pls comment. Tq.

Does anyone know why our govt don't allow OTA HD broadcast? When our TV network goes HD, then are we forced to have a set-top box even to watch free-to-air RTM? Tq.
