to answer your question synn....
i dun usually sell many models of projector. So far, HD65 and Vivitek H1080FD has the same throw distance. So, if anyone wanna try out other projectors, I also dun carry other projectors unless they intend to order such Sanyo, Infocus.
Projector is just my side product.

Yes, we are using the avr as pre-amp by connecting the pre-outs of the avr to the input of pwr amp since we have our avr. Unless for those who had sold their avr, then maybe can consider processor/pwr combo. Only 2 users that I knew of having such setups

I see. I thought the Denon you have and the 6003 is a very good AVR in itself already.

depends on your budget really....most of the latest AVR can support dts-ma & trueHD...only the features, built, power & prices are different....

Depending on your 'needs'. Denon 4310 is good. To be precise, its surround processing capabilities is good. However, most of the midrange or higher end speakers require a lot more power to drive unless it is highly efficient. Say 8ohm with above 95dB sensitivity. That might not such additional power if the normal listening volume is moderate.

The average avr power amplification ratings are normally 'inflated' by the manufacturers. If you hook up 7.1 system, normally the power will dip a lot. At high vol, it will be prone to distortion too. To overcome this, a separate beefy power amp (normally class A/B design) is the way to go. A good power amp is more stable and less likely to have huge power dip since it is utilising a better transformer. You'll be surprise by the improvement from the loudspeakers. Better clarity, more dynamics and punchier bass note (mid-bass).

Emo UPA-7 (7 X 125W) weights in a hefty 30kg. Denon 4310 churning out 7x130w only at 15.8kg and that including all those processors, tuner and loads of input and output. Take a look at the trans, then you will know wink.gif Suddenly, it makes 4310 so puny sweat.gif
