Hello there,

I'm helping/Working of selling a Property that owned by my friends, I realy don't know how the commision or incentive that The purchaser/vendor gonna give me.

As a case is The Land is worth of rm10m (example) but the vendor offer me of rm25k for the insentive if i can sell the properties/land for him,
but i have heard they suppose to give 1% of the land price as a incentive and you can get from both side....but i confuse...can some 1 link me the procedure or any info..i am very newbie...

Well, let's see .. 1st, you are not a registered real estate agency's negotiator/real estate agent. So why the puck should i give you commission accordingly to the law? I as the land owner, i have the right to not even give you a single cent, you have nothing against me. The RM25k, take it or leave it.


Well, the situation is something like above you see. If you ain't happy with the incentive he is giving you,
1. ask for more
2. don't deal

I've been dealing with lots of land deal before. Normally the buyer will not give u the commission. It is the owner of the land (seller) who will give u between 1%-3%. But this percentage varies from different owner, if you are without license and he offer you RM 25k, i say take it. Since you are not experienced and without license to brokerage the deal.

if agent not mistaken will take a standard commission 2% for the firm

if u are talking about 10mil property, even 1% or lesser there are willing agents for it
