QUOTE(Sanko @ Dec 23 2009, 05:53 PM) uzer85: diagnostic start-up but need to enable theme. why i never think of that before. wow... learn something new. cause along i know diagnostic mode is slower for me. but is it possible to enable back the theme? nice finding here. seems like msia oc scene still not dead yet. btw, why wazza kena ban? it's not a forbidden tweak. about wazza, you need to know when to execute pi run after finish running wazza. veli2 possible. after choose diagnostic startup (msconfig), straight put theme to 'automatic' in services (Control Panel). u'll see it use much much less ram than usual. but no network, intehnet whatsoever bout run pi after waza. usually i just straight run pi after waza. the ban thing is not for waza. it's for *ehem ehem* 64bit ehem. hilmiangah: hrmm... don't think so. i still believe nlite is still the way to go if you really want optimized performance. the trick there is only disable some services but nlite you can do much more than that. i don't really need to use diagnostic start-up cause i always bench with my tweaked OS and all unneeded services has been disable by default.
owikh84: there's still room for better result. it's still far from what achievable done by sup3rfly in his 32m challenge database. This post has been edited by Sanko: Dec 24 2009, 12:11 AM |

QUOTE(Suk @ Dec 24 2009, 03:10 AM) Ok, NewBie 32M test. hi, you should leave the Finish windows on to take the screenshot else the results wont be valid, try to run less aplications before you running the superpi benchmark, this could shave off some time...pls comment. suk | Wins 7 32bit | Ci7 860 | 180x20 | Asus P7P55D | 2x2GB Corsair ![]() |

Suk: good effort there. just follow what sup3rfly said and you are good to go. hehe...
sup3rfly: i can see still long way to go. i believe at least 8m 5xs is possible. btw, P55 and X58 category is separated if you are not aware. cause by default X58 should be faster at least 4-5 seconds compared to P55 if i'm not mistaken. hehe.. |
