May I know what the difference both of them? Non Hilink seem more expensive?

Hi-Link units are detected as a virtual network card and no software is installed as it will be accessed through web user interface. Faster boot time.

Non Hi-Link units are detected as a virtual CD-Rom and mobile connect/dashboard will be installed to administer the device. Compatible with many 3rd party products.

Huawei logo units are priced higher due to retail edition. Meanwhile, units with network provider's logo are meant to be bundled and usually ex-stocks, therefore cheaper.

Noted, the Hilink n non Hilink are control by firmware? Can we change either to Hilink or non Hilink?

Hi

According to our knowledge, it is based on chipset and we believe it is not possible to change from Hi-Link to non Hi-Link or vice versa

Hi again

Yes, we only have Huawei logo unit for non Hi-Link unit. Specification and functionality is similar but differs in technology on how the devices operate.

You can opt to pair with our 35dBi 4G Omni antenna as per the link below and do take note that 2 x SMA-female to CRC9 RA pigtail cables will be required in order to be used with Huawei E3276.

May i know the performance of E3276 compare to E173-2 in term of stability and signal. Let say i have 2 bars for E173-u, is E3276 able to get 3 bars and above. My Umobile always drop from 3G to 2G using E173-u.

Huawei E173 only supports 3G HSPA up to 7.2Mbps.
Huawei E3276 supports 3G DC-HSPA+ up to 43.2Mbps and 4G LTE Cat4 up to 150Mbps.

In conclusion, E3276 is a newer model, equipped with faster speeds and new technology which incomparable as E173 is a very old model.

In terms of faster speeds and reliability, E3276 will definitely be better than E173. However, the signal strength also relies on the network infrastructure at your area.

Yes, it depend to the network infrastructure. I just want to make sure the E3276 signal is strong enough to prevent dropping to 2G from 3G. Any other model you can recommend?

Correct. The Huawei E3276 is the best LTE 4G available at this point and it will improve speeds with better stability and signal.
However, preventing the signal from dropping to 3G to 2G is something we can't guaranty as it relies on the network infrastructure again.
Having said that, it is possible to lock/force the network connection to 4G, 3G or 2G only, instead of auto switching.
This is only doable through the interface or software of the device and not through any other 3rd party routers or so if you plan to pair the unit.

Hi there

Both are 150Mbps Cat4 LTE 4G units.
However, we recommend Huawei E3276 as it a better model according to our observation and compatible with many other 3rd party products too.

A typical speedtest results by both the devices
