QUOTE(Elvin7 @ Jan 14 2016, 11:32 PM) Hi-Link units are detected as a virtual network card and no software is installed as it will be accessed through web user interface. Faster boot time. Non Hi-Link units are detected as a virtual CD-Rom and mobile connect/dashboard will be installed to administer the device. Compatible with many 3rd party products. Huawei logo units are priced higher due to retail edition. Meanwhile, units with network provider's logo are meant to be bundled and usually ex-stocks, therefore cheaper. Regards |

Any antenna best pair with this model?According to our knowledge, it is based on chipset and we believe it is not possible to change from Hi-Link to non Hi-Link or vice versa Regards 1. Specification and functionality is similar but differs in technology on how the devices operate. You can opt to pair with our 35dBi 4G Omni antenna as per the link below and do take note that 2 x SMA-female to CRC9 RA pigtail cables will be required in order to be used with Huawei E3276. In conclusion, E3276 is a newer model, equipped with faster speeds and new technology which incomparable as E173 is a very old model. In terms of faster speeds and reliability, E3276 will definitely be better than E173. However, the signal strength also relies on the network infrastructure at your area. Regards |

Any other model you can recommend? Correct. The Huawei E3276 is the best LTE 4G available at this point and it will improve speeds with better stability and signal. However, preventing the signal from dropping to 3G to 2G is something we can't guaranty as it relies on the network infrastructure again. Having said that, it is possible to lock/force the network connection to 4G, 3G or 2G only, instead of auto switching. This is only doable through the interface or software of the device and not through any other 3rd party routers or so if you plan to pair the unit. Regards |
