Any recommendations of a budget HDMI cable? No specific requirement on the length of the cable since the player is within short distance of the TV

Have been contemplating to upgrade from Giraffe HDMI to a Supra Cable HDMI or Monster M2000 lately but those M2000 found on eBay are too cheap to be trusted...

Hi, would like to ask
What is the difference between

1.3b
1.3c
1.4

Did a little research at wiki > HDMI cables
But I'm too noob to understand the technical stuff.

Can any sifu explain it in layman terms.

Thx

Get the Tesco one, so far reports have been good.

There's no real difference in quality when it comes to Digital cables (same like optical SPDIF connector) it's just 1s and 0s if can connect then it's same as a 100x more expensive cable.

Just difference is some of the cheap ones can't do 12-bit, but that's not a real problem.

Apparently tho the Tesco cable no probs with 12-bit biggrin.gif

I can't believe all of you are serious about your HT if you are just using no-brand cables from Carrefour and Tesco of all places... a cable should cost at least 10% of the cost of your TV, like a Monster cable for rm250.

haha! Just kidding wink.gif

Yesterday when shifting my rack, My top rack slide to a side along with my receiver and bend my BJC Belden HDMI cable 90 degrees near the connector. I thought my cable is gone case but luckily the cable is well build and still work flawlessly. This is a prove of build quality of cable. Most cable if bend in 90 degrees most likely would break the wire core.
