the cash rebate maximum is only 50 per month and only for a short promotional period so basically it's peanuts

I guess Citibank is trying to persuade you to keep your card. If not, high chance is they are currently loaded with heavy processing .... cancellation ... hehe.

Just called Customer Service again. Say you MUST cancel your card. Asked them to give you the number to fax to. Else go to their website, there's an email add there.

Citibank is trying to keep customers.

But, no matter what I will cancel it before anniversary, to leave only one Platinum Card.

Should be enough to use.

Besides, I also have two debit cards for back-up, in case there is defect on card. smile.gif

i ask hsbc increase kad credit limit, but they give so much excuses  vmad.gif
also last time during 1997 crisis, found their banking service very snobbish
after those unpleasant incidences, staying away from them  blink.gif though their homesmart loan is kinda attractive, haha

This cilakak hsbc froze my cc even though i only missed 1 month's payment, been a good paymaster these many years amounting to rm100k+. Dang kiasu bank.

Last time ask them to increase my credit limit, after increase still less than my citibank limit which increases my limits automatically frm time to time.

Gonna cut this hsbc cc & planning to get a replacement with another bank to complement my citibank cc. Which credit card is good ?

I think DirectAccess was trying to send Platinum cards to massive cardmember, whether eligible or not, by 31/12/2009.

In this way, the anniversary date of these newly issued cards will be December 2010. Many friends of mine have taken the new cards and cancelled their existing Gold cards.
