Zonal marking has one serious flaw which I think several opponent has found out, ie. when you deliver the ball between the players zone, a lot of time, you will have free header because defenders are assigned to mark/protect their zone, but in between zone, confusion might occur or A might think it is B area, not A.

It is very identical to Houllier's Heskey/Owen case, at first few year, they were lethal combination, once opponent learned and studied it, then the strategy no longer work, so does the zonal marking, opponent study and know how to exploit the flaw, I would say you need some variation to confuse opponent as well. Too predictable play, it just mean opponent is more well prepared than you.

Well, a certain other team in red does this very successfully, and more often than not those youngsters are not bought, but recruited as boys into their academy.

i doubt the credibility of the article, there's nothing concrete really and it's 'according to Daily Mirror' only, so unless RB or any liverpool representative mentions anything about chamakh, i'm just treating it as a rumour.

and even if it's true, i wonder if he's really worth the kind of money, my gut feelings tell me that if chamakh's really that good wenger would've snapped him up after so many reports of him observing the player.
